Personally I think Harry and his backroom staff are brilliant... There's only one game this season that I think they got it wrong tactically and that was Liverpool at home, where we didn't press them nearly enough in the first half ... We've dropped so many points due to sloppy errors and you can't blame Harry for that. Eg Samba v Fulham Zamora v Wigan and Mbia giving the free kick away.. You can't have a go at Harry for that, if we had cut out the silly indiscipline and mistakes then we'd be in a completely different situation... We haven't had the rub of the green either to be honest. I was at Villa away, and that's the day I relised that fate was against us... For us to play pretty much the first half perfectly.(by far the best half I've seen this season and I have a season ticket) for boswinga to hit the post in 1st half injury time to make it 2-0 and pretty much kill the game and then they go up the other end and score 40 seconds later to make it 1-1 must have been an absolute killer for the players especially given how well they had played.... I genuinely think had boswingas shot gone the other side of the post we'd be in a completely different situation and that we would have not only beaten villa and Wigan, but also got something from Fulham as our confidence would have been High. Alas
Maybe you should start by taking your head out of his arse and being a bit more objective. Yes he was great in the NPC, but in the past 2 seasons under 3 diffrent managers he's been woefull! Dont need to explain how to mark him out of the game but even the likes of Robbie avage did that years ago, but just for you, try watching some of this or last zseasons games. Better pundits than me has said the same but I'll bow down to your superior knowledge. Yes he has skils & yes he can be amazing on his day....but thats the problem..his day is not often or regular enough. He has no consistency. Bored with making the same points over again as we've had this debate 100 times on this board. Even his most ardent and steadfast supporters agree that he just hasnt been consistant enouigh & it would be hard to disagree with that. funny how as soon as rednapp stop using him, we play better AS A TEAM and we also win a few. I wonder if rednapp knows what hes doing eh? For the record Bob, i agree with almost everything you said. From the fickle one !!
For you to single him out for being woeful is just ridiculous, there have been periods this season where he was the only one who looked like he could score !! If it hadn't been for some of his goals at the back end of last year like the Spurs and Arsenal ones then we would have gone down!! But I'm not here to defend his performances in the PL, which you're right have been inconsistent...But you seem incapable of grasping the concept that we aren't playing in the PL next year, so comparisons to how he's played over the last 2 seasons are irrelevant. What we do however know is he is a top NPC player who will score goals and be useful.. Well played trying to dodge my point about coming up with a way of marking him out of games, which you claimed was obviously and that everyone knew. Embarrassing that you pointed to a game against Derby that I was actually at where he happened to have an off day (one of very few that year) as one where savage dominated him. Do you actually think a 37 year old savage would get near Taarabt when he's playing well??? But in all honestly I would love to know what you would do in the event QPR, even of they want to cant get rid of him, cause lets face TF won't let him go that cheap... I guess you'd just let him Rot in the reserves and make a fuss instead of getting him motivated and playing well... It's unbelievable that you're actually in favour of doing that with someone who was the best player in that league by miles only 3 years ago and is still only 23... I'm actually amazed by your lack of common sense/intelligence.. Shocking
On the money Colin on the money I have treed to understand the Tasrabt knockers but for the life if me I can't My Arsenal mates have even been won over ... Of course it all backed up by work ethics ... RVP was a lazy sod Taarabt is hated because of his talent Against Wigan he is slagged for ducking .... His cross for Temy was forgotten ... Truly wonderful player and must keep him if we can He sulks and shies it so ****ing what To say he has been woeful is dreadfully way off the mark Queens what are you judging him on now? ... His 3 goals both make the best 10 scored in this league... If he had of scored say 10 goals at this level then you are talking 30 million quid for a creative player like him Are you saying he has under performed then? Therefore you have to agree his potential . I expect you to sum up that he missed a pen ( great save) and ducked ( shouldn't of been in that position) Where has he been woeful ? Corners and free kicks poor Zidane wasn't that great at set plays either 23 years old Taarabt is outstanding mate outstanding
Well said mate, ignore this Queens guy. I haven't been on this board long but he seems like WUM to me... Or he clearly doesn't know much about QPR or football in general, actually kind of reminds me of the Koreans we get at loftus now who wouldn't be able to name 11 players in the squad let alone give a valid opinion on the future of our key players

I think we should get back to the original topic of the thread here. In my opinion what our promotion push hinges on next season is sorting out the defence. If we were there with the defence we had now it would be great, but Samba is going, pretty sure Bosingwa would go, no Fabio, Clints not getting any younger....beforeyou know it, we're looking pretty threadbare. Can we get together some experienced pros at this level and gel them? Midfield I think we will be one of the best in the Champ, we can tinker with the attack slightly and make it work well for us, but in defence we will see if Redknapp can earn his keep Assuming of course redknapp is here and we haven't gone bonkers and got someone like wet fish lookalike Avram Grant in to replace
I understand what queenslander is saying. I am a massive fan and we as fans have built up certain expectations from him. He produces dazzling skill one week and scores a wonder goal, then next week he doesnt. Caesar brilliant one week, clanger the next. A tackling midfielder great one week, ****e the next etc etc its all relative.
I completely agree, but that is at Prem standard. At championship level Taarabt will be a different player and more constant as we saw in 2010/11, and that was the point of my post in the first place, he will be key. Queens on the other hand seems to find this concept unimaginable which is i find ludicrous... Surely everyone on here would want him in the squad fit and playing well if possible given what he's done in the NPC previously?? I personally don't think he's suited for the PL and if we go up we'll have to look at the situation again, but whilst we're in the championship, I think he'll be Priceless
b I think the thing with Queens and Swords too for that matter is that they prefer "blood and sweat" type players. Swords has openly said before that he'd prefer a team of Mackie type players to a team of Taarabt type players. The answer is a mix of course, but some people just prefer the "up and at 'em" type of player. For me, I pay my season ticket money to watch players like Taarabt.
Secret you really are a dick !! If its not you then yeah, i'm a WUM...!! BTW, i never said Id let him rot in the reserves. I questioned what he will bring to the team next year. He could be outstanding again..or he could be sh**e again Who knows. And the fact that you are taking DT seriously tells us all we need to know about you... Good luck!
Pfff so much for the morale high ground rubbish you were spewing out earlier, good to see you've showed your true colours... All I want is for you to justify your opinion properly on Taarabt, but you're clearly getting so worked up... I put to you earlier a scenario whereby we are unable to sell him at reasonable price and are therefore 'stuck' with him. What would you Queenslander do in that situation??? Would you play him, would you put him on the bench, not in the squad at all... ??? Given that its a pretty possible scenario I just would like to know (without all the 'subtle' personal jibes thrown in) what you think we should do should that possibility arise... There's no need to be calling people names mate. We aren't in the schoolyard anymore...You were the one who didn't want to make it personal allegedly.
Mate, If you really are a newbie and not the person we all think you are then I'l apologise as you are obviously not aware of the history of Secret or Swords. Not sure what pff means but the "true colours" speach is one that lways makes me laugh. true colours on a forum? do me a favour. Anyway, in you scenario Id put AT in the team under the same conditions as everybody else. Would probably grant him slightly more leeway than some others due to his obvious abilities, but, If he flopped as he has for the last to seasons, then yes he'd be on the bench or in the reserves as would any other player that doesnt perform. What i was questioning, was your unshakable belief that he will run riot in the NPC next season. No one will know that until next season (if he's still with us) so to say that he'll basically win us the league is a bit misguided; (although he was instrumental in doing it last time) A lot has gone on since then and he may be even better or maybe not. I personally think he'll be with us because no-one else will want him ,but, we cannot build a team around him again as we did before. This will only lead to the same disaster when/if we get promoted again. We need the team to function as a team & if that means AT is sub, then so be it. If it means he gets the hump then I dont care. If he move on then so what? He has got to prove himself again as do all the players, because apart from a very select few (andros & Remy) they have all been fairly sh*te for the most of the past 2 seasons..AT included. Does that explain my position on AT ? Its not personal mate! Calling Secret a dick is just normal behaviour for all on this board, quite simply because he is!
This post shows how unbelievably stupid your argument is and most of all it shows how your Mike Basset mentality (know Iâm repeating myself but it really is true hence itâs a point worth emphasising). Your point is that there is a possibility that he might not play well and that if that happens you wouldnât play him⦠Well of course!! Itâs such a non-point itâs unbelievable that you yourself cant see that. The basic logc applies to every single player in world football. You trot this idiotic line out because its all you can muster against to suit your prejudice against a player who doesnât into the stereotypical English ârun around and try hard its fine even if you have no abilityâ. Look at Rooney at United recently or Torres at Chelsea. Torres used to be the best striker in the world guaranteed start in the Spain world and European cup winning teams and now he canât get in the squad. No one here is saying that Adel should start every game no matter how badly heâs playing. What we are saying is based on his past performance and obvious talent we should plan accordingly that he is likely to be a good reason for us standing a chance of getting promotion out of a league full of very average players. Yes we need to limit the goals conceded but to winn games in what is historivally a tight league we need a player who can score goals ad create chances. Adel is unarguably a man who can fit that role. Yes this depends on him staying but that again is stating the bleeding obvious. He is our longest serving player and without him we wouldnât have got promoted or more than likely stayed up last year. Show the guy some respect or at the very least change the record and stop looking for any excuse how to hypothesise how our most exciting player might not necessarily play well every week
