...a win tomorrow night is actually much more important than it first seems. Alright Watford need to win at least 2 of their 3 games even if we lose tomorrow, but after the Bristol game they play two of those games before we kick off again. If we lose Watford could be level with us (and ahead on gd) before we have chance to correct it. We'd have a game in hand, but that could be some build up of pressure. Even if we draw they could be within a point of us, with us playing Cardiff on the last day it would again make Barnsley a massive pressure game. (It just occurred to me when I was thinking about the potential to be promoted without playing if Watford drop points in either game after we win)
Ricardo. Can you write the names of the people who do not think the Bristol game is not absolutely, staggeringly important.I would suggest you use a scrap of paper for your list-1cm x 1cm should be more than adequate
It's the biggest game of our season so far. It's hugely important. I also don't think Bristol will be a pushover either, and some of our players could use the game to make their mark too. That said I think if Prossie plays and scores, people will still moan about him. We need the KC rocking, behind the players, and the players playing like they want to get promoted. Fook me, Im nervous already thinking about it.
The previous reason it was important was because a win could effectively guarantee promotion, but the assumption was always that if we didn't do it then it still wouldn't be that much of a push because of how close we are. I'm just pointing out because of the way the fixtures have fallen that it's even more important because if we don't win it then it could make things really difficult for us to hold on to second.
All 64 of them or something?? My company HQ is Bristol based so I know loads of Robins fans. Their views today are we will have an easy win tomorrow. When I said surely your boys will have pressure off and want to perform on tv the answer was "We are not good enough".. You going to Barnsley Ricardo? I haven't forgotten the beer you owe me ..
I was just guessing OLM, I heard sixty something on radio tonight.. I liked a comment I read yesterday when someone suggested we packed the North stand with City fans, moving Brizzle fans into the directors box! Always had a soft spot for Bristol City fans, it increased on 24/5/08!!
Nah I'm working next weekend. I'm down for the Cardiff game though, or at least I will be once I get round to booking the train tickets. My sister's birthday as well so I'm going out round town that night, think I might have to go to football and then meet them in town later.
One of my mates is a Brizzle fan and to quote him more or less, he hopes the overpaid pros who have been fleecing their club masquerading as footballers should stay at home and the manager should give some of their younguns a run out. He's not even prepared to watch the game on Sky he's that pissed off and despondent.
You will beat Bristol City comfortably and we will not lose to Watford at home next Friday, so you will be safely promoted by then,
I think the next week will play out like this: City beat Bristol City Watford beat Blackburn Leicester beat Watford - Squarehead and the boys send us up! Cheers, Nige!
All will be forgiven if he does that; and I will hope he keeps his job. AKCJ is still going to need an avatar change though.
If we win today (it won't be easy) then pressure will be firmly on Watford's shoulders. They play Blackburn on Saturday which would be a tough match.
If we win tonight the pressure on Watford will be immense as every one of their 3 remaining games is a must win!!
Am I the only one willing to post the fact that I am really nervous about tonights game. We need to win, never mind the games to come. Bristol can play with absolute no pressure AND we are the team that stopped their Premier dream a few years back. Don't worry lads just me being over cautious .....I think.
