What on earth happened to this guy? Arrived this summer, looked promising in pre-season, played twice in the Europa League and just disappeared off the face of the planet and has never had a sniff at the first team since! Is he just not ready for the Premier League, or is he simply not good enough? Anyone got a clue?

I haven't seen enough of him to form an opinion. He played in a couple of Europa games and thats been it, but with the injuries we've had this season it's surprising he hasn't been sen more. Perhaps he was one of the ones that Pardew said had been given an opportunity but hadn't shown that they were ready for the step up - a bit like Tavernier?

My impression iss that he is not quite fast enough to get in the team based on his pace, not quite skillful enough to get in on his skills and not quite strong enough to muscle his way in. Nothing really wromng with him but not enough right. A rsik of buying young prospects - - for every Bigi there's an Amilfitrano
