Kenny Dalglish has paid a special tribute to Hillsborough campaigner Anne Williams, who sadly passed away on Thursday. Williams, mother to 15-year-old Kevin, one of 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives at the Hillsborough disaster on April 15, 1989, was a leading figure in the fight for justice. But Anne sadly lost her six-month battle with bowel cancer, with tributes being paid to the committed mum, who never gave up in her quest for justice, throughout the day from around the country. Dalglish was Liverpool manager when the tragedy occurred 24 years ago and showed his support to the families by attending each and every one of the 96 funerals which took place in the aftermath of the disaster.
RIP Anne Williams, justice will come to the 96 thanks to you. From every decent football fan anywhere in the world... Thank you. Your efforts will not be in vain. JFT96.
Lost for words. So desperately sad that she passed away without a new and factual reason for her son's death. But the truth will out and justice will finally be seen to be done. RIP Anne.
I was very sad to hear the news yesterday. She was a very brave woman and it's a shame she didn't live long enough to hear the results of a new inquest. In other news it looks like MacKenzie the liar has been ****ed off by the Daily Torygraph. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/greenslade/2013/apr/18/kelvin-mackenzie-dailytelegraph
brave woman fighting the lies for 24 years. its a shame she couldn't be around for the TRUTH and JUSTICE she fought so long and hard for. R.I.P.
This was the paper that, on the day after the Hillsborough Inquiry reported last September, led its front page with an article about the Duchess of Cambridge's hair, whilst the rest of the media led with the Prime Minister's apology in Parliament. So no, despite what Greenslade (who's always been on MacKenzie's case over Hillsborough) says, I don't think a paper connected with Simon Heffer, Charles Moore and Boris Johnson - who've all written gutter press, ignorant, bigoted ****e about Hillsborough over the years - would be in he least bit troubled by MacKenzie's infamous muck-raking.

The BBC to posthumously give Anne an 'Achievement In The Face Of Adversity' award at the SPOTY tomorrow. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news...our-anne-williams-sports-6405203?mobile=false So richly deserved by a true mum and true red and a fighter until the end.
