So with all of the comments on wether Adel should stay or go, consider this:

Have you seen a player of Taarabt's majestic ability at Loftus Road?
I have NEVER seen a player at QPR that makes me go "wow" the way he can.
Now, I started supporting the hoops when I was 11 years old (I'm 34 now), so can't include Bowles, Mardh etc.

But the season we got promoted was all down to Taarabt. Plain and simple. Ok, Derry, Faurlin and Kenny played their part. But they were not match winners.

Remember the game against Reading when he dominated and pulled off the "rainbow" trick. Holy ****.
THAT goal against Swansea....3 tricks followed by 22 yard bullet.

Also not forgetting he was Championship player of the year.

He does get fat. He does throw tantrums. But ultimately he provides moments of pure excitement.
If you don't want that at Loftus Road.....then you aren't a real fan. What else do you want to see for your money?!

P.s he is still only 23. Will get smarter and better :)

Thats the problem Newbury you never saw Rodney & Stanley, who in my humble opinion were miles better then Taarabat, if you had you will understand why many feel he is a Fat Lazy ****er who only plays when he wants to.

But will he get fitter??? - Can´t argue regarding his ability and star quality but for a lot of us a simple pass, a simple jump, a simple bit of tracking back would be just as rewarding as seeing the ´rainbow´. Too often a luxury this season IMO but still a very talented ´individual´.

I watched Rodney and Stan and I can tell you have a selective memory... Stan was in some games bloody completely useless and as for Rodney was he not lazy? ... The crowd then used to slag both of them off. Sick to death with mis understanding of Taarabt ... I openly challenge anyone to name a player with his skill level as for his work rate ... try watching the game a little more closely. Taarabt's footballing brain is far superior to anyone who has put on the hoops. Rodney has said as much on Twitter and Stan loves him ... again on record so ... you have Stan and Rod admitting what a player he is and almost anyone in football.

The current culture around the game is too blame and explains your misunderstanding Peter ... of course I respect your opinion but Stan, Rodney and myself are the opposite.

Selective yes but im 58 so a little senile, Rodney 44 goals season 66/67 you can be as lazy as you like after that, and dont start on Stanley he's a god.

Stan was my man, probably because I saw him at an impressionable age and he is indelibly associated with the best years of this club (so far....).

But there are very few players that I have ever seen who could score a goal like Adel's second v Fulham. If he goes will I be as upset as I was when Stan, Phil Parkes and Sir Les left? Probably not, but I'll be mightily pissed off if there is no room for flair and imagination in our team, even in the hell of the NPC.

Adel is one of the best players seen at Loftus Road for years, I say we keep him and get him to lose a few pouds in weight.

They are all gods Peter lets be fair I just wish Adel Taarabt gets his deserved place as a QPR legend ... I am sure we will look back in pride if he plays for a great European club because his game suits that football a lot better.

Football back in Stan and Rodney's days was a great game of British football and not comparable really to today's game .. we have had to learn a great deal from abroad.

Taarabt belongs already with Stan and Rodney, Thomas, Roy Wegerle as skill giants of QPR

Unfortunately for us, english football may not be the best option for our Adel.
We still class hard tackling, lots of aimless running and heading as key to being a great. Until we embrace creativity and talent then the english game will continue to go backwards. There is not a more technically gifted player in the premier league in my opinion and what he may lack in fitness or speed he makes up for it in speed of thought, which is a rare thing in our game!

Totally agree with the fair comment ... We are QPR and associated with that ... We ever become a Stoke or Norwich then I wouldn't go and watch them anymore

Taarabt wasn't given the number 10 for nothing ...

In World Football QPR number 10 shirt is the most famous thing about our club Marsh Bowles Wegerie Taarabt ... case closed

    Just my two cents,

But if Taarabt goes I will sorely miss him. I know a different era, but can you seriously say that Bowles and Marsh could do half the tricks that Taarabt can? I doubt it. I would like to hear an argument against my opinion that he is the most technically gifted player to ever play for us. I try his tricks down the park on my own when nobodies looking and often end up wobbling home with a sprained ankle.

On the other hand, if he did go I would wish him luck and hope he gets to play at the highest level.

There's only one team on these shores that plays the type of football that would fully embrace Adel & that is Arsenal. I've enjoyed watching him greatly and would love to keep him but part if me wants him to fulfil his potential and unfortunately we are not the club for him to do that with at the moment.

Tarbs delights and enrages - which is why there are so many opinions on him. He enraged me often with his tantrums, but I have to say that these moments have been less in the last two seasons. I have often thought his football brain is too far ahead of his team mates - his vision for a pass (giving and receiving) is beyond others - for which he is often, wrongly, criticised.

We will need him. He will once again storm the Championship if he stays. Great for his value and for us. We need to keep him now and make good use of him.

I agree with you Newbury, just dont think we can aford or are the right team for Tarbs at this stage of our clubs development.

He'd love Arsenal or even. dare i say Swansea. We dont have the type of players in our team to complement his inconsistancy at the moment.
I've never said he was s**t (well maybe once) but we arent good enough to carry anybody at the moment. In a couple of years time with a decent settled side, that plays attractive football then yes, he'd be a plus to us. But Im sorry his bad games by far outweigh his good games, and looking at the table..we cant afford that luxury IMHO.

"Taarabt's too gd for....us" - Yes he can be frustrating, over elaborative, moody so & so..etc but come on, who in our current squad has half the talent he has. Yes he is a luxury we might not be able to accomodate, as he dictates a lot how the team play, But going through the turnstile he is one u want to see on teamsheet as he can make a difference. If he works he will play for a big club. I agree Arse might be the one for him. (Wld luv to know what Fergie cld do with him). I started followi R's in the 80's (1st game 5-5...nuff said) so have seen Stainrod, Byrne, Wegs (luv them all) in QPR world Tarby is right up there...enjoy him while he is here....wld bloody luv it if he stayed

    His workrate has improved.

People like Tarbs, Mackie and Faurlin have improved massively through the experiences of the last two years.

Taarabt is the most watchable player I've seen play for us and he has his best years ahead (potentially).

    I hope he stays

Another season or two and he has become the epitome of QPR - brilliant one minute terrible the next

He's the heir to stan & Rodney and we would miss him if he were to leave

Let's not forget Hughes unfairly dropped him for a long period after the swans game - the kid hasn't really had a settled season at the club has he? And let's face facts here, has he really been that much worse than the rest if the squad this year??? No
