Cowdenbeath chairman Donald Findlay has blasted Scottish Premier League chairmen who complained about the result of Monday's restructuring vote . The SPL's reform plan was rejected after St Mirren and Ross County voted against the plan. Aberdeen and Hearts have both complained publicly about St Mirren chairman Stewart Gilmour's rejection of the plan . "What we are seeing now is a fit of pique," said Findlay. "They think everybody else should just behave like a bunch of nodding dogs. They are now not happy because some people have said no. "All this bleating that is going on is quite comical." Findlay, a former vice-chairman of Rangers, claimed the angry responses are the result of SPL chairmen realising they made a mistake in not admitting his former club into the SPL last summer . "What I find ironic is the hysterical reaction of certain Premier League chairmen who kicked Rangers out of the SPL for whatever reason," he said. "Suddenly they have realised they have made a big mistake and now want them back in (the same league body) as quickly as possible - but they haven't got their way. "Well, hell mend you, you shouldn't have kicked them out in the first place. "It's far too easy to blame the likes of St Mirren and Ross County for what they have done. Of course it is. "The problem with the Premier League is that the people who should make themselves out to be the scapegoats are the ones who kicked Rangers out."
I think everyone was upset because St Mirren and RC had agreed to the proposals in December and for whatever reason changed their minds at the last minute....ask your mum how your uncle felt after she decided not to abort you even after your uncle bought the knitting needles
Findlay talking ****e I see ... I may have got this wrong - but this is my understanding. No-one kicked Rangers out The SPL would have had to break SPL rules to allow a Rangers football club to play in the SPL! The company that ran Rangers went into liquidation. A new company bought Rangers and started again. Is it not a rule for SPL membership that the company running a football club must have three year audited accounts ... the new company didn't have that and, to accommodate them, a space was created to allow Rangers to continue as a football club in the SFL. Rangers got massive concessions that no other club would be allowed (before or in the future) ... Findlay sounds like the one greeting! I thought people wanted to move on from the whole Rangers situation but heres Findlay moaning about it again!
Last year the chairmen had to 'listen to their fans and ensure sporting integrity was maintained'. Now they are ripping into clubs for listening to their fans. **** them. I hope they all get ****ed starting with Dundee utd and the 200k bill.
no it couldn't. They are entitled to change how they wish to vote right up until the vote is cast. The decision was made based on speaking to people with vested interests on their respective clubs. It doesn't rank high on the scale of Mindy fail but its a fail nonetheless.
Why? If people aren't happy with the product then don't buy tickets/season tickets. You don't get a say in the running of Marks & Spencer just because you buy a jumper from them. (XXL)
M&S don't listen to their customers? Bit of s stupid way to run a business. Am never shopping there for cardigans ever again
You know that St Mirren and Ross Cty "gave their word"? Because... you read it on the internet? <MINDYFAIL> Well, I had a meeting with Stewart Gilmour last night and he said that he never gave his word and that Peter Lawell wanted to take a St Mirren youth team training session so he could eye up some of the young boys dungbox's.
No doubt they listen to FOCUS GROUPS but that's about it. I stopped buying clothes from them ages ago but I do rather enjoy their basil and pine nut pasta salad with a crusty baguette.
"What I find ironic is the hysterical reaction of certain Premier League chairmen who kicked Rangers out of the SPL for whatever reason," he said. What I find Ironic is that Findlay does not know what he's talking about.
