Hello, well done on promotion to the premier league, i was in the army and my mate was from Aberdare so i kind of drummed Sunderland into him, and he done the same for Cardiff with me, so since then always had a soft spot. Here is hoping that you take 6 points off the Jacks next season
That's the easy bit done and now the hard part starts and that is trying to stay there....Qpr went up as champs by a good margin and they only scraped through in the first season due to other results on in the final game, they failed in their 2nd season as flops and reading lasted 38 games, It very tough and if you get it wrong with the players you will need then you have no chance in the premiership. The standard is much higher and you have to be prepared from day one.......qpr thought they bought well and would be a top 10 team and look at them the whipping boys of the league.....good luck but i wish it was the bluebirds that done it...
Change the record Dai; they are still the Bluebirds, they still have their history, they just have different coloured home shirts - seem to remember we had orange away shirts a couple of seasons ago which harked back to an earlier time in our history, as well as black shirts. Re-branding is a business matter and has nothing to do with with the ethos or history of a team. I know that a minority of Cardiff fans threw their arms up in horror at a perceived abandonment of their history but that is simply not the case - it was a business strategy that may prove to be quite an intelligent one if an extra fan base is created that adds money to the coffers. I would remain a Swansea fan if they played in a kit that was pink with blue spots - I don't support the kit - I support the team! CCFC are still CCFC and will remain so regardless of the colour of their shirts. So cease this petty mindedness and be big enough to give credit where it is due.
When masked man hit post 4 times in a row he was less repetitive than Dai's been this season. He's an expert though, I remember him telling us with an assured confidence Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn would have far too much for us this year. He was particularly sure about Wolves.........if he's writing us off we might be in European contention. The bombshell that if we sign **** players we'll go down is a real eye opener too
What a clot .......this coming from a guy who's team finished 6th and scraped through via the play-offs (but still had the gall to drive round twintown in a ****in open top bus as if they'd won the friggin champions' league Go back to the Liverpool board Dai they loves you there
Dai has to be the master of ignoring any reasonable debate, ignoring any known fact, or completing any logical coherent thought. He just makes us some stuff and then convinces himself his opinion is a true and an unarguable fact. Here is a guy who slagged of Huw Jenkins non-stop before they got promoted, yet still thinks he knows something about football. He must be a nightmare to have a beer with!!
I happen to like Dai. He's always been good for a comment (inane or otherwise) and changes his tack more often than his underpants, but he usually comments on football matters rather than personalities. The fact that he comes across as a right prick on times isn't a problem for me, and is far more endearing than some of the nasty pieces of work that inhabit their board down there. Siam, on the contrary, I'd be happy to have a beer with him.
Firstly thanks to the OP for the good wishes, Dai is an institution, a character on this 606 and the old. Definitely prefer his posts to some others we get on here. He makes no bones about where he stands as far as the jacks and the bluebirds go but at least it's just one-upmanship he is after. Yes he constantly gets it wrong, but it wouldn't be Dai if he didn't, it's almost like a blessing if he predicts doom and gloom for our team. Keep 'em coming Dai, wouldn't be the same on here without you.
Congratulations on your promotion to the elite - I hope you spend the money wisely its so easy to get carried away as a number of clubs such as QPR and Reading are good examples of. Re next season's derby I will settle for splitting the points but would be delighted if we took 4 or more off you! What I hope more than anything is for both games to be open, attractive games and trouble free. Not sure what off field developments are in store for you and I am sorry I still don't hold with this red shirt nonsense as it hasn't delivered much luck to Bristol City! Good luck next season but be prepared for a roller coaster of a ride - enjoy it!
fair play cartoon ur a good man and a honest man ...........dai will grow up one day >>>> hey by the way joe im an Aberdare boy how old was your butty and what reg was u in......is he still alive????
Not sure Reading are an example of getting carried away. I hope we follow what the Saints have done and add a few splashes of significant quality to the good base we already have.
