In their spluttering excuses as to why Wigan and Man City fans would miss a return train, the FA claim it's normal for the FA Cup final to kick off at 5:15 as this enables more fans to watch it!!!

It's purely for the American/south American market, also they can still watch in the UAE , it's purely for TV income

They have it at 5.15 so it is on at a more appealing time for the USA audiences.

That in turn probably has something to do with the fact it is sponsored by Budweiser.

It's absolutely ****ing wrong though. But money talks.

Give it ten years and the Castlemaine XXXX FA Cup will be kicking off at three in the morning.

Less traffic about and therefore easier for fans to get and from Wembley.

    It's the way forward.

And they wonder why the FA Cup has lost so much of its appeal to fans ? I suppose they don't care if they can get some more TV money

I'd prefer it to kick off slightly later, in my young old age, 5 is a bit early to be starting a large bender. Half a pint of Stella and I'm on the deck now, but that's what happens when you lose pub fitness.
