I personally think they will struggle next season and go straight back down to the championship. Watched them a few times this season when they've been on Sky and they have been average in an average league. Their survival will really depend on how much money the board give their manager, as I think they need to spend at ;east 30 million to have a chance.

If they can resist their owners urge to strengthen like QPR (he wants to spend the same £25m) in the summer they can survive, but I and many here don't think he will be the best person for the clubs long term interest. Looking forward to the derbies but I do not think they will be able to emulate the Swans' success and I can't see them gaining as many neutral admirers because their style of football isn't as pleasing on the eye.

No grudge games for me next year as QPR will be down :D

By the way I really hope that Wigan stay up.

Also, Cardiff will do well to stay up it depends in how much they spend

I'd say it is how they spend as opposed to how much they spend. Look at QPR, the perfect example of how to destroy a team by buying more players.

All depends on the first 5 games. remember tht people said exactly the same about us .

They have a fair chance of staying up because i dont rate any of the other teams in the promotion mix so that would leave 1 place to fight over..its all load of tosh until april/may next year anyway <ok>

Anything can hppen in the prem league :)

Cardiff don't worry me but I do laugh at them when they think they will be able to emulate Swansea's success. If u needed examples of how to run a football club and not how to run a football club swansea and Cardiff are perfect comparisons. What I do welcome is all the media hype, keep the pressure on em coz they have way too high expectations and no patience!

Only BBC Cardiff will be giving them bigger media time, the rest of the entire planet will give Swansea more attention. We are the neutrals favourite team and in Europe, the team that is owned by local fans and the community, the team that believes in financial budgets and posts profits.

I am gonna stick my neck out and say they could survive but they will be in a relegation dog fight.

yea but Cardiff only live in their own capital bubble, they are their own worst enemies, the fans and media will expect then to do better than swansea in the first season! 10th place ha ha ha ha ha NO Fing WAY!

I've no problem with them being promoted. I'm not buying into the them and us next season, we will go about our business in the usual way. We will have bigger fish to fry than Cardiff City.

I think if they have been observant and studied the way we have gone about things and did similar then they have a good chance of staying up. If they do what qpr did and spend millions and put them on high wages then they will struggle,

the same as reading...they stuck with the players they already had in most cases and again they will struggle.....The key is the manager because it is him that has to identify where the team may have trouble next season and he with his scouts must work hard to get the right player for the right price that will accept Their wage policy....remember its a fine balance because if you put them on long contracts on high wages then that really dont give the player a very high insensitive to really give 100% if things go pear shape as it wont effect the player himself as he will still be earning big wages....that was qpr's main problem at the end of the day.....I hope they do OK but it wont be a walk in the park and most teams that come up struggle....

Yes, yes, Cardiff are the ones which are arrogant.....LOL. You'd think all of Cardiff would collapse and orgasm as soon as we are mentioned in the same sentence as Swansea. No one has a clue whats going to happen. Portsmouth were one of the favorites to get into the Champions League a few years back after the FA Cup, look now. I think we have a better midfield than you. Gunnarsson, Mutch and Kim bo. Kim Bos going to amazing later in his career, probably when he leaves Cardiff. Apart form that you are better than us, that's accepted. But again, we don't really know until a years time from now.

I want to scrap to stay in league next year. I don't care if you finish above us. In the long run I hope we are better than you of course. Im going to go to your stadium and see Bellamy score the winner though, I can feel it in my bones.
