Sky requested a 17:20 kick off. SYP turned it down. Unlike Huddersfield, Barnsley have covered their Sky quota, so that's the end of it as far as it goes. It's a 15:00 kick off, no restrictions.
The kick-off time change has been rejected and the game won't be moved, it will just not be televised now. I think we'll take a big crowd, particularly if we beat Ipswich and Wolves, but I doubt we'll sell it out, the away end holds 6,000.
Dont be so sure. IF we have to win this game to clinch promotion then @ £20 for an adult ticket,, 6000 may not be enough ?
I tend to agree But only because I think that we shall have promotion sorted by the end of the Brizzle game. I can still remember that fiasco @ Hillsborough when almost 7000 turned up on a tuesday night for a league one game. That game was only for 3 points.
Anyone got an update of how many tickets have been sold yet? Not got the full end yet have we? Need a wheelchair and carers ticket but City only been given 6 out of 18 wheelchair spaces so far. Relying on the club getting some more as the allocation is increased.
Why is a Leeds fan coming to watch city at Barnsley? And also that's outrageous about wheelchair users, limited to 6? They should make spaces available for them, it's not like they're going to cause much trouble confined to a wheelchair, they hardly need rows of extra stewards and police to supervise them. Is it the same at most grounds?
Totally agree with you. Been to most away games this season, no problem getting tickets with small amount of wheelchair spaces available. Because this could be the promotion day tickets have all sold Spoke to City and its up to Barnsley wether they send any more tickets so im guessing they're waiting to see if we need the full away stand before opening the other disabled area.
It's to do with where you have to put the wheelchair spaces to allow them to evacuate the stadium in a certain time period. Looking at the KC, you can't exactly put a wheelchair user in row H can you? They need to be somewhere in the ground that's accessible by wheelchair. - At the KC you've clearly got the front row that would be accessible (let in through the corner tunnels), and then there's lifts to take them up to the concourse from normal entrances so they can use the bay areas. I'm not sure how we get away with lifts when the reason for evacuation could be a fire. I'd also say it would be fair to say that they should have cover, it's not like the rest of us where if it starts pissing down we can go higher up in the stand to stay dry, that means taking out a huge section of seating to create something like those bays we have at the KC because you can't exactly put a massive great dugout in front of each stand and obstruct the views of the first few rows in the process. Older grounds like Oakwell aren't going to have those facilities built into them. Look at Boothferry Park, I'll concede on the grounds it was terracing it wasn't exactly necessary anyway, but the front rows weren't accessible wheelchair because they were lower than the street level around the ground so it was steps everywhere, and we had no lifts. We had that little shed in the South East corner and that was it.
café, It seems your serious point has been hijacked by posters talking about bands from 70/80's. It's important we respect thread titles and try not to go off topic. I wouldn't take it personal, keep your chin up and don't be sad, café.
