This is honestly the worst thread i've ever read..

Lucky to be 2nd after 10 games? Probably not? 20 games? No chance but 43?!?! Completely impossible...

    Get real

We HAVE been the second best team in the league this season FACT and without aluko for half a season...

And to call the relegation teams piss poor is a big insult.. That itself is being smug so it's a completely hypocriticalness to the max

To put things into prospective, Phil Buckingham just tweeted that after last night we are 40/1 ON with one bookmaker for promotion.

I'm not sure about the smugness, yes there's been banter and wind ups.

To be honest I'm thankful for the choking of Palace, Watford, Forest, Boro and especially Leicester. Without that we may have struggled to hang onto 2nd. We've suffered some key injuries but you cant take anything away from Steve Bruce and the squad. Yes we've stuttered but nothing like the others I've named.

I will always remain eternally grateful to them all..

To the OP - are you the kind of person who would go up to a new mother and say "Give it eighty years, and he'll die like the rest of us!"

Cardiff have every respect for Hull and Watford, they are the only two teams we feared and the banter between our boards has been because we were the top three clubs.

Every other club had the same games to be in our positions so rather than worry about us ask yourself why no other clubs are in the top three, it is not because they did better.

Wow, so what odds are they giving for Watford to go up automatically? I've got £50 @ 9/1 on us getting promoted (£500 return) but might be tempted to lay a little off to ease the pain if the unthinkable should happen.

Win or draw on friday night and that should be pretty much it. Blackburn now on a role and I expect them to bag another win @ the Vicarage Road saturday.

SS soccer saturday with Jeff Stelling and a bottle on Ice saturday afternoon. Job done.

The so called “the piss poor relegation threatened teams” have some strong teams, Wolves for instance over the last 10 games have one point better return than we have, and as has been said before is a tight division with HCAFC sitting proudly in second.

I don't think their has ever been a thread where every single person disagrees with the opening post.

We may be lucky, but in previous seasons we haven't being, you get luck by having quality in your side. You create your own luck, we play each time twice, and 46 games in total, the teams that go up deserve to go up, the teams that go down deserve to go down. If we finished third, and Watford second, i wouldn't be happy but they would deserve it as they where the second best team over 46 games.

How is it lucky that other teams lose?

Luck is injuries, refereeing decisions etc. and we've had ****e luck on that front.

Other teams losing consistently is not luck.

Well enjoy your Caribbean cruise. Obviously you haven't enjoyed one of the most impressive and exciting seasons in our history. I've been watching the Tigers for 65 years and this probably has been the best team we've ever had (and that includes Raich and Waggie and Chillo) with the best Manager. You need some perspective mate. Adding you to my ignore list if that's the best you can do..UGHHH!!

If we're lucky to be second because other teams have lost so much, surely they're lucky to still be in with a mathematical chance of second because we've lost so many, so the luck cancels out?

For some folks, every silver lining must have a dark cloud. Lose the negativity and enjoy the ride. Promotion seasons don't come along very often in a fan's life.

"For Zola, though, there was only regret, as his side stayed six points behind Hull with just three games left. He was asked if Watford were now heading for the play-offs. “It looks like it,” he admitted."
