The boy needs to take a pay cut & listen to a really well worded motivational speech........then I'd consider a bit of excitement.
As I just said on the Nainggolan thread (don't know if I beat you to it this time) he hasn't impressed me this season. Might be due to misuse by Harry, but even so, considering his wages I can't really see this happening.
Thought he was a real disappointment for QPR this season. Had a hunch he would be one of the best signings of any team over the close season. Wouldn't be worth the transfer money or wages IMO
Nice to be potentially picking over the QPR carcass, and one with Harry's name on it though. Makes a change.
Hasn't caught my eye at all this year, but I doubt even a diamond would shine amongst all that ****. If Pochettino thought he would do a job for us then I would trust his judgement.
I would go with with MP's judgement on this, but high wages would stop this. However, if Granero took a wage cut in order to play with us in the PL instead of sitting on high wages in the Championship, he would demonstrate to me that he is our kind of player. p.s. We will never last the summer if we get too excited about transfers this early. Keep your powder dry, lads.
Granero is a top class player who unfortunately for him has been playing for a poor team. When he was in the team early in the season he was often played out of position on the right of midfield. He is used to playing a pressing, passing game which is pretty much the opposite to how QPR have been operating. I think he would be a very good signing, he is someone who would fit perfectly in to our system and style of play. You also have to remember that Mourinho didn't want him to leave in the summer, so if he's good enough for Madrid he should be good enough for us.
It's plausible I suppose. Granero has been dreadful this year, one of the reasons they are going down. His attitude definitely was not there, barely finishes a game before he gets subbed. Poch would have to be confident that he has the ability to get back to his old level, and that can be tough after a year dossing. I is on our list of players to think about.
If we were to pick over QPR's carcass, it should be for Remy or Julio Cesar (if Boruc goes). This is not taking into account their wages however.
Lets put in a 15 mil offer with wages of 120 thou a week, as I believe thats how premier clubs operate
Sorry to sound harsh but when newly promoted teams (and those that have managed to stay up) always seem to make the mistake to start picking at the remains of a relegated team - there are a set of usual suspects that seem to reincarnate each season to awannabee loser the following year. Steer clear of damaged goods and go for lean hungrey newbie players who want to cut it in the EPL.
The only players they have right now I'd be interested in are Cesar, Townsend and Remy. But Townsend belongs to Spurs and the other two are probably on massive wages. Doubt they'd be willing to take a big pay cut either.
I thought Granero was one of QPR's better players at the start of the year, however he has faded badly.. And he left a bit of an impression in Spain. Ultimately we have to trust Mauricio, he will have seen him far more than us! Howeve I think his wages would make this unlikely!
