Didn't mean to offend Mexican, just wondering if questions would be asked as there appears to be no plan B.
Ah well..... sob Card happy ref at the Sheff U v Brentford match - nine yellows and three reds handed out
None taken, I am just wound up at the moment. Read this from the BBC FULL-TIME - Cardiff 0-0 Charlton A pitch inspection from all sides. Cardiff are up! Jokers !!
No, not at all. I will still shake his hand and walk out with a smile on my face even if we lose in the play-offs. I dont think anyone thought this season was possible.
Always gets harder when you are playing teams that are in danger. Ask Hull. However we could have had that wrapped up in the first twenty minutes. Well done to Cardiff they got their point.
Bring back Dyche! Haha no not really I still have faith Zola can see us through playoffs but with the Hull defeat and the number of attempts on goal we had that game we should have made mince meat of Millwall
I suggest that our recent lapses are all about handling pressure. None of our players (with the exception of Doyley) have been in this position before - neither has Zola (albeit he was under a different kind of pressure at West Ham). It's an old saying but very true: it's difficult getting to the top of the division - it's much harder staying there. Whilst we were climbing the league with limited expectations of promotion and very much dark horses, we were doing very well. As soon as we looked like favourites for automatic promotion, we fell away. In the final analysis, it is our home record - not the defeats at Posh & Millwall, that ha cost us. Few teams get automatic promotion losing 6 at home.....
Tough choice, Forestieri and Deeny up front seem like a good combo especially as Vydra is not in form so if I was Zola I'd probably play those two up front for the remaining games and playoffs. Three months ago, I probably would have given Vydra a few more games to get back into the stride of things but we just can't afford it right now
Don't think Zola's attempt at mind games a week or so back helped you. "the pressure is on the teams ahead" was arse and easily dismissed. I believe the quote was on the Hull dressing room wall before the Ipswich game.
We could only relax tonight with a hard earned point, we have worried about you and Hull for so long its a relief I can tell you. I can only wish you and them all the best and hope the team that misses out wins the plays offs would be great if all three of us went up and could have this banter there. jck
Whether we're winning or losing, the football we're playing is really exciting. We have financial security now, and other clubs need the premier league money more. If we don't go up this year, we'll have a laugh next year and the year after and so on. No need for worrying about the play offs, lets just sit back and happily watch the lads playing the way they have been all season (Derby aside.)
