We can get 39 points. We could win the next 5, and stay up. Next season Europe. Cheer Up!

I will feel sort of relieved if we are relegated this weekend, cant wait for the nightmare to finish
Of course as mentioned above, with events in Boston how important is a game of football

I dont understand this, tens of thousands of people die every day so we should just give up on football.

Id stop watching the news if I were you, ive done that and feel better for it.

The Boston bombs could have claimed a lot more lives and thankfully not more were lost. Personally I felt sadder about the London attacks, than the American attacks, and I suspect if I lived in America it would be the other way round. I can see this from Flyer's and Woody's point of view.

Agree with this but the post was just saying exactly the same as you just picking today's news

Agree for all the people that will be murdered tomorrow ...all the best

This is football ... just something we dream about while we are alive and not murdered

Strangely, someone left a suitcase on Loftus Road after the Wigan game and thought Im glad i dont fall for the media constantly trying to convince us we are at risk.

Why? Are you telling me those people are more important that then dozens who died in the Earthquake today or anyone else who died in the last 24 hours?

You can't make those comparisons. We all know that tragedies and atrocities occur every day, but we get on with our lives. We can't help everyone or sympathise with every loss individually. It was me that started this conversation with a slightly clumsy post. I said that relegation seems unimportant when you think about what those people's families and friends are going through so unexpectedly. The thing that got me was when I heard that an 8 year old girl had died. I have an 8 year old girl and I know that 8 year old girls die every day, but there you go, it got me. Maybe the point we should be making is that football is just football, important to us in our secure western lives, and capable of changing our emotions, but it's a game, it's entertainment. I'm struggling to get the words out here, so I'm gonna hit the hay. Bon soir mes amis.

No, not more or less important. But the difference is they were murdered indiscriminately.
