Rainer: <laugh> Good to hear from you again, how are you getting along? Both Stick and I are probably a bit sad nowadays due to another sport which is difficult to mention by name at the moment, but, for my part, am now resigned to what is almost certainly about to happen. Oh well, that's life. So bloody hard to get promoted to the Premier, and then back down again. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Erm, 'buxom' would be an apt name for some 'fellahs' too? Flipping Augenarzt tomorrow for a TüV (MOT) Keeping fingers crossed, of course.

Eddie, are you advising these as a straight accumulator or separate bets?

<laugh> Somehow I dont see the accy coming up. Strong on Caoimhes Delight, Wedding Present and Easy Vic, the others are just for an interest, not investing much today.

Thanks for the note, Swanny, and I hope you get a clean bill of health tomorrow.

Crude partisan triumphalist abuse apart (to which I'm not averse) I'm really a bit sorry to see the Hoops going down, and inclined to lay some of the burden on the previous manager, who seemed to me to have no empathy with anyone - fans, players, directors, media, whoever.

And I rather miss the days when we Palace fans would swagger down South Africa Road with our cans of Double Diamond, bringing some much-needed South London culture to Hammersmith. Obviously, we regarded it as missionary work..... That Jim Langley could play, though.

QPR are down for sure in my book!! And the barmy world of football where they go out and sign Samba at colossal wages when in all likelihood they are down..... football has become boring, full of greedy mercenaries and full of play acting and cheating and full of clubs in debt (which should be ruled out!) and inflated gate prices. Sky have ruined football. Mind you I think its equally sad that so many fans just turn up and pay whatever price is being charged. If everyone took a stand they'd soon reduce prices.. Its not a game for the average man in the street these days..

Thanks Rainer. Ah yes, those were the days, indeed. Used to park our bikes in one of the front 'gardens' in South Africa Road in the old days. Never missed a home game then. 'Rodney' could play a bit too!

CaptainPops: Yep, sadly, all too true..................

Follow the Pals 7.55 Fairyhouse 7/2. Interesting runner for Shark Hanlon, the horse is an unraced 7yo but is related to a few useful types. Paddy Mullins has been booked for the ride and is obviously no stranger to riding bumper winners. Intrigued to see how this One goes tonight.

    Goodluck to all today.

Salmanazar in the 2.50. 7/2 seems fair when the favourite is a Lavelle runner. Yes she's had two winners this month but come on, backing a Lavelle runner this season. I did it and regretted with the terribly named Well Regarded the other week.
