West ham cannot afford the £10 million asking price, I think we can.

There'd be big wages involved too. He's a lot of Centre forward for £10million, he'd be excellent but I fear the total package will be beyond our budget.

Listening to Brenda on 'Goals on Sunday' he definitely doesn't want him.

£25million loss over 2 years, makes buying Torres for £50m look like the good side of the deal!!!!!!

I think Tan will want a big name signing and he fits the bill.

Our Set plays and long throws are made for a striker like Carrol. He's worth more than £10m, he's scored 6 in 9 for WH since returning from injury. He's unplayable even at PL level when used in the correct way.
Doesn't mean pumping the ball up the pitch at him. Just getting good quality delivery in from open play and set pieces. He'd allow us to play solid bank of 4 & 5 away from home with him leading the line with the likes of Kimbo and Bellers joining him as he holds it up.

Jay Rodrigez spent almost all of this season adjusting to the PL and cost 8-9m. With Carrol you'd have a striker who could start scoring as soon as you put him in the shirt.

Quality player but would he come here? I am of the opinion if MM approached VT with his name it would it would be discussed and not immediatley dismissed. After all Bellers came here when everyone else laughed.

From what I understand they're not even looking here, although I'd be perfectly happy to take him. The scouts are in Spain, that's where the bargains are, as we've learnt already from the sigining of Michu. THe market here is overblown.

How times change London, that we could even consider if Carroll would be required by us...off the back of the likes of Feeney, Willow Flood, Parkin and Taiwo. Time to raise our standard, starting with Ashley Williams maybe! :emoticon-0103-cool:

17 million asking, and the 80 000 a week wages, I think due to the wages, fair play rules won't allow it for us, so doubt it would allow it for you guys. Good Luck tonight btw

I think you guys should be more worried about us snatching some of your players, but I do admire your confidence, it will do you well next season as your team battle to survive. :)

Those were the figures I'd seen mentioned. Don't know if Liverpool will have any takers at that money though and he's a seriously depreiciating 'asset' for them at the moment. Could be that £10m and those £80k wages off the payroll could be enough.
