I wonder how many terrorist organisations will claim responsibility for this. They'll be fighting over the title. Wouldn't suprise me if it was some other head case ala batman massacre.
I've just read the start of this thread, read through a guardian story on it online and watched a video with an American sounding camera-man in it and only when I read a mention of a 'JFK library' did I realise it was the Boston in the USA. For ages I was thinking "When did Boston get so built up." I am such a twat. This is ****ing appalling though. I know it sounds obvious but it just makes me angry thinking about people doing things like this. I'd love to kick the **** out of whoever did it.
If he's connected to the explosions he seems poorly placed. The buildings are obstructing the line of sight to where the blass are coming from, and he's walking towards the main street. Can't understand why those involved would be in that position, they're not observing to time the blasts, and once they've gone off they'd be walking away wouldn't they? I'd say innocent.
I think this whole thing was more likely carried out by an Anders Brevik-type character rather than an organisation.
Just had a look on twitter, and there's a lot of finger pointing at Muslims from certain groups in the States. I'm guessing the likes of Fox News is jumping on that badwagon. If you thought the BBC was ****e, you should see what that stations like. It's a disgrace.
People will suspect it's them because it's been them before. And some ****s will call that logic racism of course.
That doesn't surprise me whatsoever. After seeing a lot of American TV while seeing relatives there, the main News associations are heavily biased against the Muslim population. Ever since 9/11 (maybe even the Gulf War), they have never viewed anyone under that religion in a positive light.

If I was going to mess with an American city it wouldn't be Boston. I think it's one person. They had bomb sniffing dogs at the finish line all day. Unfortunate.

When I went to Boston, I noticed a 'Brits Out' daubed on some statue and occasional undercurrents of support for the Provos. It didn't seemed enriched by the multiculturalism that we have had over here.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was the North Koreans. Absolutely shocking. I've just come in from a night out on the boozer and seen this on the news. There's people blaming Terrorist organisations, there's people blaming republicans and there's people saying they were planted bombs by North Korea in order to say, "We're being serious". First mention of the Koreans I've seen. Thinking about it, i'm surprised no one mentioned them before. It is a possibility, considering what has been going on, but it is unlikely.
Unlikely but not impossible. Should it be North Korea, we'd see a video released by Kim Jong-Un saying something along the lines of, "We have sent our first warning to the United States. We are not using pretence. We mean business." [In a Korean language with subtitles obviously] It's more likely to be a Terrorist organisation.

Has there been any suggestion it's a suicide attack yet (as in reliable not some random on twitter)? Would be a bit unusual for a muslim based attack to be carried out another way since the glory/reward comes after the death of the soldier in that sense. BBC website still saying 2 dead and 23 injured.
Nothing official is coming out yet. All they can say is two devices were detonated (possibly a third but they're now saying that's just an unrelated fire - hard to believe) that were clearly meant to do considerable damage. They're still waiting for the authorities to give out what information they have.
