Just checked the Barclays U21 tables. After the current round of games, results mean Spurs qualify for the playoff stage with 3 games to spare. Just need the boys to get the 5 pts max to ensure they end as group winners.
For anyone who can access Man United TV and is interested, they are showing our under 21 league game live this evening. Kick off is at 7 o'clock. As things stand, we have already qualified for the semi-final stage and need 5 points from our remaining 3 games to clinch top spot in this second elite stage. It would be especially satisfying if we could clinch this top spot at the Arsenal next Monday night !!!
Cheers Spurcat. I don't think I have MUTV as you have to pay for it seperately, don't you? It does mean there should be some decent streams of it though, might give it a watch.
Falque's on loan at Almeria in the Spanish second division. They're currently 5th in the division, but only 2 points behind the team in 2nd. He's been starting for them for a decent run of games since his loan started in the last window, but I've no idea how he's been playing.
As a Virgin customer I think I have Man Utd TV in the same way that I have Liverpool TV. And I can assure you I do not pay extra for either. If Arsenal TV ever crops up I will pay extra to have it removed.
As mentioned before this season, our fitness people insist on injured players getting playing time in the under 21's before returning to first team action. Therefore no surprise to see Younes Kaboul turning out tonight. Squad is Vigoroux, Fredericks, Fryers, Kaboul, Hall, Velkovic, McEvoy, Dombaxe, Coulthirst, Bentaleb, Ceballos, Barthram, Priestley, Gallifuoco, Michael-Percil. No Dean Parrett due to internal disciplinary action.
I've checked and on Sky it seems that MUTV is one you have to pay extra for, whilst Chelsea and Liverpool's are free.
Fryers : Attack = good. Defence = meh (had a bit of a torrid time at the Lodge vs the Poool) . looklike said that the Academy are apparently less than pleased with his current progress. No doubt driven by how important LB has suddenly become this season.
I'm the same on him. Looks great going forward, but has a lot to learn defensively. He didn't endear himself to people when he appeared last summer, and he struts around the training ground as if he owns the place. Apparantly the guys who work on the security on the training ground gates complained about the way he speaks to them .
