    Eye up everyone

Leeds come back from behind to win a local derby and Millwall lose their Cup match, and cause havoc in the meantime..... Things are back to normal. !!!!!!!!!!

So, McDermott starts his reign with a 2-1 victory in a local derby, with TWO GOALS FROM VARNEY. People are right, Varney is good with his head, damn shame his legs are not as good. After the game , Varney spoke to the press helling them that he would like a more central striker role <yikes>

Cannot believe the BBC's report of the match saying 'Sheffield Wednesday deservedly took the lead after dominating the first half' <doh>.

After the match Dave Jones was biatching saying Wednesday deserved something from the game. Thoughts?

Who watched the Cup games at the weekend, especially Wigan v Millwall. What are your thoughts on the game? Did Millwall do themselves proud?

I think we should have a song of the day today in recognition of Millwalls Cup performance.

Does anyone know any songs from limp bizkit?

    And finally....
THE Sun has a kiss ‘n’ tell. It’s “SOCCER badboy El Hadji Diouf”. The paper claims the Leeds United striker “cheated on his wife by bedding a lover — who was left sickened when he urged her to join a threesome with a stripper”.
The teller is one Courtney Webb (nominative determinism?). She “refused to join in the Leeds United star’s kinky games — and watched horrified as he had sex with the East European girl instead”.
She wasn’t into kinky fames but watched as he shagged another woman?

Morning Elland, can't believe I'm saying this but I think we should give Varney a go <yikes> Can't be any worse than Morison!

What Diouf does in his private life doesn't concern me, as long as he plays like he did against Wednesday on the pitch <ok>

    Morning Kiwi,

What about Poleon. Whats the point of recalling him, if he gets no game time

I'd imagine we'll go full strength on Tuesday, get at least a point and be absolutely certain of survival, then we'll start bedding in the youngsters for the last few games. I hope so, anyway - really think Dawson and Poleon could play a big role next year

Morning all - Glad we got the three points, I don't care how good or bad we were I just wanted the three points. Now we are safe(r) it gives the new boss time to have a proper look and time to plan for the new season.

Last year when we finished mid table I didn't care who was sold, as a collective team we were abysmal. This season we are worse so once again it doesn't really matter who we get shot of, obviously you would want to keep the likes of Byram and in defence we have looked slightly better.

We were poor in the first half vs Wednesday - but the second half we looked like an entirely different side. This was directly after McDermott's first team talk. I think the players are lacking confidence in their own abilities after the Warnock era and long ball just seem the easy option. If McDermott can change the philosophy and get us playing with freedom and confidence, I think you'd be surprised that we actually have better players than you think we do. We have accumulated a lot of crap, but there are some good players in amongst them <ok>

Morning all. Great win and start to what is hopefully a brighter era. Watched Millwall game and not only did they not do themselves proud, they were shocking. Totally outplayed by let's face it, a team that is not exactly a footballing super power. A section of their fans are disgusting. Just as well they didnt make the final for various reasons. They're like an English version of Galatasary who also seem to go virtually unpunished for their actions. Hopefully not this time though

We are a bottom of the championship side who played like a bottom of the championship side <doh>

Lots of huff and puff but never a threat and we were beaten by a superior side. who may not be brilliant but are still premiership <yikes>

as for the crowd trouble it was no more than a little skirmish. considering it was a 5.15 K.O. and theyd been on the booze probably all Friday night and all Saturday could have been far far worse <ok>
More arrests were made in Newcastle so wheres the thread about that elland <doh>

Well done to McDermott for turning the team around on Saturday. Is it true that Redfearn picked the team? If so then I can't understand why we started with 3 central midfielders and Varney - where was the width? Given that our new manager likes to play with wingers I suspect we'll be seeing a lot more of Diouf, Polean and even Hall for the next few games (is Hall still alive though)?

My first thought after the game was what could have been had we got rid of Warnock earlier in the season. Although our squad is mediocre, the quality (or lack of) of the Championship is such that we could have inched the play-offs with a decent manager.

Morning all. Fine result at the weekend. Hopefully we'll see Varney & McCormack as a central pairing with maybe Diouf playing somewhere (I'll set up the jokes, you can all send 'em in!!). Think as a result that Morison may live to regret missing the sitter in front of goal when all he had to do was hit it.

On the fun and games at Wembley, it appears that it was a combination of some prat not apologisng for knocking into some kid, too much Columbian marching powder or similar, way too much time drinking, & inter-estate rivalry (Bermondsey & Peckham). Pity really. I almost feel sorry for the 'Wall fans on here. Heyho, we roll on to Burnley

With McDermott showing plenty of savvy with his subs & the timing of when to use them, think we'll see a fired up squad for tomorrow with everyone knowing its a 14 man game with three subs watching very intentedly for signs that the 11 on the pitch arent putting in a shift. I think the days of average performances with subs coming on for only the last few minutes may be over. Let's hope so.

    Morning all thats joined.

Ahhh Monday. Cant stand em. Running off a giant can of energy drink minus the booze. Its a wrong un.

Very pleased with BM's debut game. His subs made the difference & he didnt insist on leaving Morrison on like Warnock would have.

    Morning all.

Mighty won me £83 on Saturday.
I have re-invested £20 and stand to make £580 if the wall go down. Come on Watford. Any chance of a points deduction?
Talking of Millwall we should bear in mind that it was a tiny minority that got pissed and had a punch up. They are not all vile animals, and the press are millking it.

EHD's bit on the side, who wouldn't have?

The inner child in me liked the Wednseday fans song " He looks like an egg, he looks like an egg, that Briam McDeermott he looks like an egg". We should pinch it.
