No apology necessary. I have probably been more blindly optimistic than you. We're down, but next season we will still be QPR: QPR for ever!

Nope mean it Zlatan I genuinely thought with the experienced foundation and set up we had we would finish well above at least 12 teams or more! ... based on the their brand of football and the few times as a team QPR clicked ... I was very wrong and then thought we would stay up easily ... It hasn't worked

Of course I still believe that QPR will grow as off the pitch things are looking very healthy. I also believe that money wasn't the complete driver for some of our players ... They believe also on what the decent people behind our club are doing.
We have enjoyed a massive amount of media exposure and raised the profile

    We will return and regroup

I hope the club is big enough now to accept it's failings.

I hope for one thing ... stability

Oh another thing we don't implode towards our squad and players too much ... I witnessed terrible stuff this season against our players at LR ... That hasn't helped ... You win by being united on and off the pitch .

Suicide and depression are no strangers to me as my mother only made it to 52 ... She was never the same after she had her cock removed

Since then and with the help of surfing I promised I would at life in a more positive way and you can't change your stripes or hoops depending which way you look at it

Well, I have to stay I too was stoic in my following of the club. But I have slowly (and I mean slowly) been facing the realism of next season. It has been a painful two seasons, but I have believed that quality will shine through. Clearly quality without determination and pride does not deliver.
You have nothing to apologise for DT - you have shown determination and pride!
So now it will be an off season of who will go and what we will be left with to challenge next season. For a challenge it will be. I hate facing yet another 'rebuilding' of our club. I hate the prospect of losing Remy - having at last found an attacker with class.
The 'hope' has diminished. Now we must all regroup and prepare for next season.
A time to come out fighting and deliver a bounce back with a real 'team'. I can but dream the dream!

Dave, I admired your dogged refusal to give in and wished I'd had your confidence, although it now seems misplaced, of course.

Well said sir. Roll on the debate. The way we continued to support our team yesterday at Everton gave me optimism that with the right decisions being made in the summer we can bounce back. But as I said this time last year, if/ when it happens it's not the end of the world. Let's take our time and do it properly even if it takes a few more years. If TF can't accept that he's bought the wrong club. Now we look for younger players with talent eager to get the chance to play in the PL. No more ageing stars and 'proven winners' please.

Still say with the potential at the club its one of the worst teams ever in the premiership. Good individual players many of whom don't give a ****e about QPR. Many will be off to pastors new whilst we regroup in the championship thanks to them. My main concern is the players we can't get rid of due to their high wages and poor performances. It may mean we can't afford to build a decent team to get promoted.

No apology necessary. You were wrong and that's nothing to be ashamed of, slightly embarrassed maybe but ashamed no.

Duck it Dave, It really makes me sad when you give up. I used you as my barometer placing my optimism slightly below yours. Is it really time to give up the ghost?

Dave....on many occassions you have been a breath of fresh air with you positive outlook, so pleas no need to apologise. I have kept the positive outlook believing that we could get out of this mess, but from the 40th minute yesterday when Everton scored, that was the time when hope went out the window. We are down and to be honest we probably deserve it....4 points from the first 16 games is no basis to build on, we were always trying to play catch up and we were not good enough to do it.....

Lets move on, get in players who want to play for the club...get those who do not out....re-structure and bounce back, we will be back hopefully stronger with a greater chance of surviving.....onwards and upwards from 3rd August 2013...

DT - you've apologised because you said you would and that's to your credit but an apology for having hope and belief is not called for.

I'm 97.462% resigned to our fate but will wait for the maths to abandon the other 2.538%.

Whatever the future holds, we're united as fans in the love of our club and that's not a bad place to start rebuilding from.

Also, our owner will have learnt so many lessons that he needs to know about football that would be harder to take and more difficult to return from in the future.

So, if Norwich and Wigan are both 'dreadful' yet above the team you support in the table, what does that make you, oh Deluded One?

    Dearest Dave,
Will not hide the fact that you are one of the few authors that compells me to actually write something on this site. Got to say that at first I took you for a Wum but always had that nagging feeling that you just might be on the level as your intelligence and humour was not in question. I felt that perhaps you just had a blind love and faith for our beloved rrrrs that the distance I now have has dissapated my own in some way.
I and I'm sure the mods now look back in horror at your previous ban which now with hindsight should never have happened. You Sir as with a few others have proved to be a shining beacon to those of us that have or had lost faith which is no suprise as Eustace was in fact a curer of the blind! It is with a heavy heart that I read about your own surrender to this plight as it is not us as fans that have deserved this, undoubtedly there is no need for you to apologise for anything, you have steadfastly held your corner and how you have managed to keep up your volume of posts to keep us entertained I'll never know.

However, I have one question which is burning at me - and this answer doesn't need to come with hindsight - I have always held the belief (and part of me never wants it to change) that our beloved team of 76/77 was the best we'll ever see, it is an extremely selfish part of me that I stupidly believe puts those of us that were fortunate to experience in a truly exclusive club. I know this totally wrong, even writing it! It flys totally against everything I try to do in life, which is to look forward, improve oneself, enjoy today and love those around us.

I'm waffling - Dave did you and maybe do you still hold true that this team is better than our heroes of the 70s?

God Bless Saint Eustace of Luxeuil - which I know is not appropriate to you but at least know that reading your posts brightens up these dark days.

Rangers till we all die - Charlton, Palarce, Millwall away - Got any tickets guv?

As another who gave up hope on Saturday afternoon, I agree with others that you have nothing to apologize for. It's in our nature as supporters and lovers of the club to be forever optimistic, hope for the near impossible, and dare to believe it could be done.

This weekend that hope died for a fair few I reckon...but no need to be sorry, unless of course you've spent the past nine months being paid thousands of pounds a week to wear blue and white hoops, and have failed to show any of the determination and work ethic those hoops deserve. I would love an apology from that group, but not from you DT.

DT i <applause> you your optimisim kept us going & we all thought the same that there was a chance of staying up, if anyone should appologise it should be the players & staff, horrendous past two seasons & this is the worst i've seen them this season.

DT I don't think you've been too optimistic, it was that belief that ultimately kept us up on the last day of the season, last year.

Again there were heaps of people on here and elsewhere that had us written off long before that.

I am still going to believe, you never know, now they all think its over the team might put some results together, there are still teams in free fall above us.
