I haven't been much on the not606 since 606 was closed down by the BBC. Part of he reason was that I never liked the take-up of this new not606 as only fans from some clubs contribute. In the Championship anyway only about 40-50% of the clubs create regular posts) and of course as we haven't been in the same league for the past 2 seasons. As long as we get a point from our next 4 matches next year will be different and I for one liked the old banter that Cardiff and Swansea fans had as much of it covered so much more than football but of course circled around football. I made a reply to a post yesterday to a thread on your board and the distinct impression I had was that many of the current Swansea contributors on not606 (granted, many new ones since the 606 days) do not want such engagement and it is clear that there is resentment towards Cardiff on our success (almost) this season. Can you let me know what your views are on Swansea/Cardiff bantering as it may save me a lot of time in not bothering if the appetite is not there from you dudes? You may be the established side in the premier league and we will be the new boys but we are both Welsh (well Jacks kind of Welsh/Union Jack and us Welsh/Malaysian.....haha!) and I am looking forward more than anything to host Swansea City back at the Cardiff City Stadium....more so than Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs.
Why would we need to be resentfull of a club that is still light years behind us in terms of recent sucess. Good for you and all the real supprters on you promotion. But i couldnt give 2 hoots about your club.

I tend to agree with trundles. What on earth makes you think Swansea City followers are "resentful" of your Club? Any "resentment" clearly comes in a Westerly direction down the M4,and has done for some years now.
I for one don't resent Cardiff city. When you are playing an English side, You are our Welsh brothers. When you are playing us, you are our rivals and I want nothing but to slaughter you on the field. I love banner, and am looking forwards to it. I wish no bad on you, and hope you don't do badly in your first season in the top flight.
I second that for sure will be great to play you in the prem ,I for one have had no problem with the blue birds.I remember being in Cardiff when you beat us 5 3 from memory and Ivor / J . Charles scored the 5 goals .two Swansea boys.
Is this the same Clash that threatened violence against some of us on the old 606 (though you later apologised, in fairness) and disappeared the second we were promoted? Don't deny it - though I'm sure you will. Some of us have pretty long memories. Funny how it's now you've decided to enquire about 'banter' as your club is on the cusp of promotion. I just can't get the vision of snakes and rocks out of my head. I wonder when Prophet will stick his ugly head out from under? In answer to your question, don't flatter yourself. Most Swans fans don't give you a second thought. I don't post much these days but you'll fnd some of the newer guys equally unsympathetic, whilst others hang on to the myth that having 2 Welsh teams in the Prem will somehow help the national team. Whatever. I didn't want Cardiff promoted for two reasons: 1: We have enough on our plate without the derbies (though I admit I will look forward to them in a peverse way) and 2: I don't like you. The thought have having to put up with wums like you next season reinforces my commitment not to contribute so much. I really don't think I can stand it again. But as others have said, Cardiff are light years behind at the moment and will almost certainly be champions in a really poor season for the Championship. You will have to invest heavily to stand any chance imo. I don't see it with an Asian speculator at the helm. He'll make his money by not investing too heavily then get out. He doesn't come across as the caring type. I may be wrong though so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. Now where's VETCH when you need him?

I thought that I was quite clear about the reason why I didn't join and contribute towards 606 (or the new version). It's probably more the fact that this jerk (Auzzie-Jack as he used to be called I think), always was one and probably one of a very few Swans fans that I did dislike and to put the record straight, I did lose my rag with him when he made reference to a post many moons ago, one which I remember it well, it one where he showed clear disrespect for my best mate that had been killed serving the UK forces. Just goes to show what type of person he is). I won't bother reading his drivel and if there were a few more like him I certainly wouldn't bother but I think that the majority are fine.
Don't you get it Norway-Jack, it is because that we will be in the same league that I am writing this. Some of us openly like the banter but some like you prefer not to admit it but do still quite often love talking about us in bitterness among yourselves. It really does look like you couldnt wait to pop over and say hello to the Jacks but didnt really have anything to gloat about . That how it would appear to 99.9% of people. Its not like you can debate anything on here until the season gets underway, talking about the opposition or players or grounds to visit isnt something you can do till about August, the rest of this stuff is a load ofold guff really..but im happy to play

I'm sure that there are quite a few Swans that will be happy for us (as I was happy for Swansea when they were promoted as they were a fellow Welsh side) and happy to engage in conversation again and no, it doesn't have to be serious and specifically about the football in my mind, and it's not coming over to gloat at all, its more like saying 'hello' again. I must however remember that the ones like you will always put on a negative spin on anything to do with Cardiff which renders conversation/banter useless as it will always get confrontational.
And the first of many. May I suggest we show a bit of class and don't jump down the throats of them when they do visit? We rarely get outsiders visit is, so it would make a nice change to have pop over. Different to the in-fighting hey.

Its just a shame that the Malaysians have took away the real bluebirds chance of premiership football. All this manufactured rubbish must be sickening for the true cardiff city fans who have supported the club through thick and thin and wont acknowledge this team as cardiff city...of course they are right and even fans from other clubs dont recognize or accept that it is cardiff who has been promoted but a Malaysian orientated team using the bluebirds stadium to play in Britain through the back door......Nobody would have battered an eyelid if they had just done what other Malaysian owners have done and take over a club for the benefit of the club and its fans, this lot changed everything that was cardiff city to something that represents themselves and Malaysia....they even want to change the name and you can bet that they have put that on hold for now but eventually they will get their way...Its a bloody shame what they have done and this is not the real cardiff city coming up its a Malaysian club using cardiff's name for now until they get their own way.....
