It is rather ironic that Steve Bruce will be going there after being stubbed by them for their managers job, and if City win could put a nail in their relegation coffin, and at the same time take a big step in getting the side he did come to promoted.
Funny old game Football, the relegated teams have been ****e this season (apart from Bolton) and SB will have the lads focused for this one. Still nervous as ****!
The fact that the relegated teams are so close to another relegation says a lot about this supposed 'gap' between the Football League and the Premier League, one that is meant to be widening...
My tickets arrived this morning. So looking forward to it. Expect to be receiving texts from mates in Hull with scores, league positions etc
What section are away fans in now? Is it the new stand, that side stand, or the one we have been in before?
If the allocation is under 1500, it's in the upper tier of the new stand, apparently. If its larger, its down the side.
We got many left? Tempted to get tickets, told i couldn't get the time off before but now i just fancy going anyway and taking holiday.
Saw a piece recently in the Wolverhampton Express and Star about the Wolves League Cup winners reunion where Wolves legend of many years ago John Richards was saying that its unthinkable that teams like City (he mentioned us) are vying for promotion whilst Wolves were languishing in the lower reaches. Great incentive for us to give them a right good hiding and help make their season even more unenjoyable.
I think he's out for the season - along with SEB and one or two others. O' Hara sent off today, so he must be suspended for next game. Though, they do have other players that could cause problems - Hunt, Doyle et al. Maybe if we do go up, O Hara could be a useful acquisition (although my opinion of him is based on our Prem days)
It was a straight red though, so couldn't they put in an appeal? If there's a chance he'll get a three match ban, it could be all over for Wolves before he gets back from that, so they might think it worth it to appeal regardless, in which case he could be eligible to play, but banned from next Saturday.
I posted on the Ipswich thread that on Friday the ticket office told me they'd only sold 400 tickets. There were only two buses put on as well. So it was quite a surprise when the attendance was called and there were 1280 away fans! So expect a bigger turn out for this one.
Great atmosphere at Ipswich, hopefully should be more and better at Wolves. Also re berny's post about appealing, was about to say the exact same thing myself. Red card was for violent conduct so will be for 3 games unless he's already had a red this season which will make it 4. I'd fully expect them to appeal it and give themselves more chance as otherwise the earliest he's back is the final day which could be too little too late.
Red cards for violent conduct never get overturned though do they? So it'd probably be extended to 4 games or something (which would run into next season because it would make him available for Tuesday).
