A good win for Posh. Their record against the top 6 teams is pretty good, so it might have been expected. Although, I have seen and heard of a couple of decisions that seem to have gone against you. We know all about that after today At least you aren't at the bottom end of the table fighting relegation like we could be soon. From a 'neutral' it looked and sounded as if it was a decent game though. Will be interesting to see how much time they give you both on the FLS tonight, or is it likely to be a case of, "Oh, and by the way, Posh played Watford today and won" Good luck to both teams for the rest of the season. I have no axe to grind against Hull really, but I would love to see Steve Bruce fall flat on his big ugly traitorous face.
Bloody typical. The first game of the season I turn up to and the team don't! Plenty of little one-twos but not enough final penetration. Ref not good, not sure sending off was even a foul. Heard a Posh fan say best game of the season. Need to play a lot better than that in the play-offs!
Thanks Dan ... I'm not one for wumming Delighted Posh gone the 3 points though ... keeps are hopes alive for another week Good luck for the rest of the season
ha ha ha just the reaction i wanted!. your immigrants do not have our fighting spirit.we are having a party on the hull thread come and join us xxx
It was a very good day for Hull City and if you go up it will be well deserved. However, I can't help thinking there are better ways to celebrate than coming on here and gloating. Each to their own I suppose...
We tend not to hang out with overt racists, particularly not ones who seem like Leeds fans. Although we're always happy to mingle with genuine Hull City supporters, who on the whole are a decent bunch.
Yes - it is all over - we will not gain 6 points on you in 4 games. Well done - you have been ahead almost all the season and we cannot say you do not deserve it. But it is a shame some people cannot just enjoy their own win but like to rub others noses in it. It is rare from Hull fans though - you are mostly a decent bunch - as have the Cardiff fans been too to be honest. Good luck in the Prem - hope we can join you in the play offs - at least this result is early enough to tell us we need to prepare for another three games
A fabulous result for Posh, though as usual we didn't do it the easy way, conceding 2 late goals. The Hornets are the best footballing side I have seen this season but today they looked like they were a team afraid of losing in the first half, pretty, but ultimately non-productive passing football at too slow a pace. Ekstrund was lucky not to get sent off and Deeney might well have been given a second yellow as he never stopped mouthing off at the Referee. On another day Watford may well have been awarded a penalty, but many Referees are now wise to the ones with a reputation for diving and it now works against them. Much better second half from Watford, Posh withstanding a lot of pressure, ironically the red card seemed to aid Watford more than Posh, as they threw off the shackles and pressed forward in numbers, being rewarded with the 2 late goals thanks to deflections, but it was Posh who held on by their fingertips for a priceless 3 points. We might not have the best, most skilful players or the prettiest ground in the Championship, but you cannot fault the effort and will to win shown by the boys in blue. We also maintained our record of never having lost a game this season when we scored first.
Trust me a 6 point lead can slip in two games, we have worried about our lead at Cardiff all season and have been very lucky results have gone our way when needed. Win your last 4 games and see where it gets you. That means forget about today and concentrate on those 4 games. Im saying this to cheer you up but if we lose our last 4 games you can even beat us. You are the only side with any chance against the top two until the maths says its not. Good luck anyway, its hard when your team loses at the best of times. jck
I'm trying to stay positive, and if we're three points behind on the last day we have every chance, but to be honest I think it's over now. Defensively I think we are out of options, and at wing back we are stretched to the limit. Nosworthy, Neuton and Hoban appear to be out for the season, while Cassetti will miss multiple games through suspension between now and Wembley, should we get there. Fitz Hall has Fitz Hall's injury record, Pudil is flagging, Anya for all his attacking merit offers little coming back, while Briggs suffered an injury in the warm-up and for me should only be considered at wing back anyway. And the only explanation I can give to going 2-1-4-3 at half time is that Zola either completely lost his head as a result of the first half refereeing performance, or was not comfortable with replacing Ekstrand with Thompson (there was absolutely no option once Cassetti was sent off).
Well whatever happens now Zola needs to lift them immediately. Most of us now accpet that automatic prtomotion has gone so we simply must build up momentum ahead of a play off appearance. If we don't we'll be knocked out in the semis.
Heads up lads, if you'd been offered the play-offs last August, you'd have snatched their hands off! OK it's not ideal, but one of the remaining top six has to join the top two! You have to be in it to win it!
We look jaded and none more so today than Chalobah. Anyone any idea who's going to be playing at the back for us on Tuesday?
Chalobah was absolutely AWFUL today. Pudil, Ekstrand and Vrydra not far behind him. Someone please reassure me for the play offs
