Tony Husband has said Saints have had more of the ball and the stream info I've been watching on/off says 46/54% in favour of WHU. I haven't been able to watch enough to know who's telling the truth.
Lovely stuff so far but little end product, just a couple of chances including a certain goal from Rickie foiled by a great save. West Ham are thugs, not that you'd know it from the yellow card count.
Been the better team. Lambert had one clawed off of the line that would've been a goal nine times out of ten, and narrowly headed wide of the top corner. Mostly, it's been a wrestling match...Gaston and O'Brien have been going at it, Lallana/Nolan had a bit of a shouting match, and Andy Carroll got booked for being a moaning twat.
Hopefully Poche calms the boys down at half-time, passion and energy is good but we really can't afford to let this boil over and see us have a player sent off.
great game so far, we looked slightly complacent first 10 minutes, but we built it up to the point where west ham were reeling. Lambert was a bit isolated in the first 20 minutes he came into the game more as we improved our passing and movement. He could easily have had a goal and an assist, lallana should have left it for schneiderlin, perhaps he didn't hear schneiderlin call for it. Ramirez has been good, some great movement and passing, some of his passes haven't come off but that's fine as long as he's always looking for that through ball we will be dangerous. Fox has been alright we just need to make sure there isn't too much space between him and the goal.
Nolan had a good chance blocked from 15 yards. Lambert got to a free kick at the far post, great save on the line from Jussi. Apart from that probably the worst football match in history.
Do West Ham know what football even is? How we have more cads than them I cannot understand. Thugball is really a better name for what they play. We unfortunately are playing into their hands by doing similar. ignore their crap and we will be better. Hopefully the ref will realize it is suppose to be football and not thugball.
I haven't seen enough of West Ham this season to realise just how apt the phrase 'anti-football' is. Goodness me, what a shower.
I hope my dream, well nightmare doesnt come true and they score a belter in the dying minutes, come on lets get a goal!
I assume their tactics today are the same as the much criticised tactics they used against Liverpool.
They were occasionally dangerous on the counter against Liverpool...occasionally. Today, they're simply trying to win a free kick in our half in the hopes of lumping one into the box. Hopefully, it won't work.
Looks like Mauricio wants to try a different approach this half and see how we do with 2 balls on the pitch!. Looks like the referee objected though!
