Don't think it is a generational thing... my parents laughed when I asked them if they wanted to see photos of my wifes badger.

    Never gone badger baiting?

Yeah, fanny means ass here ( that is ass, not arse).

Somebody had a shout with Nucular, sp and saying is different I believe.

Don't think many would know what a butty here is either.

Do you mean 'inquiry' as in a formal investigation, or 'enquiry' which is merely to pose a question...?

It's spelt nuclear, and pronounced new-clee-ar. Some of your countrymen manage to twist it into noo-kyu-lar. How they get there is a complete mystery.

Its not truly universal... you can't name your dog "Shag".

You'd probably be arrested if you took your dog to the park and it ran up to two little kids and you started yelling "shag" in their direction.

"Come to me boy, shag! Daddy wants his shag. Here boy. Shag! Its time to go. Shag."

Great point. If I ever get another dog, I'll call him 'Shag' <ok>

The ones you've seen are hardly 'dogs' are they? If you ever do get up to Latchford, I'll show you some dogs <laugh>

I liked the peep show episode with the dog named "mummy" where they go along the canal looking for her calling "mummy... mummy..."
