Like some others on here I took up the ridiculously generous odds given by the bookies at the start of the season for us to win the league at 33/1, sticking a tenner on it. Our odds currently stand at 17/2 meaning that I could cash the bet out now and take 35 quid, a 25 pound profit. Question is, should I? I personally don't think that we'll make up the 6 points on Cardiff given that we'd need to make up 4 points on them in the next 4 games to give us a shot at overtaking them last day as our GD effectively gives them an extra point, BUT looking at this weekend's fixtures, if Forest can get at least a point and we can beat Ipswich our odds will drop down, both results are a distinct possility, making my cash out higher which is what i'm thinking of doing......what do you guys and girls reckon? Any helpful advice will be greatly received, (then probably ignored)
I'd take the money, we're unlikely to catch Cardiff and if we don't you'll be pissed off, if we do, you're still £25 up.
I'd stick it out, it could happen and all you'll lose is your £10. Forget the £25. Got to be worth the gamble for £330.
It is unlikely but they have to play both Bolton and Forest who are top of the form table + go to Burnley which is never easy. So I can see it going to the final day of the season!
Take the money out and stick it on Cardiff to win the league. We're the only ones that can catch Cardiff - though doubt we will - but if the unlikely event occurs that we do **** losing your bet, we won the league! Other alternative is that you're even more quids in
What's the point in winning £25? That's not even a night in the pub. Stick to your bet like a man, this cashing out **** is for ****ing wussies.
Why make a bet in the 1st place if you are thinking of pulling it.... I'd go for what I originally seen if I was you. The 300 odd quid
So, if someone gave you a guaranteed £25 with no risk attached you would dismiss it. To be honest, if you take cash from the bookies its great. If we start catching Cardiff over the next couple of games, citys odds will drop and you take take a bigger cashout. Or, just cashout to get your £10 back and have a risk free bet. The decision is solely down to your circumstances. £25 might be a fortune to you.
GAMBLE AWAY FFS. Its only a tenner. Only a fool would cash in now. If Cardiff City get beat by Forest tomorrow and Hull City win the gap is down to 3 points. Unless £25 means the earth to you then stay with it. You know it makes sense. Enjoy the ride.
plus ^^^^ this. Cardiff also end the season @ Hull City. Your first stop after the game could be to the bookies to collect your winnings as it will all be over come 3pm on saturday 4th may 2013.!!!!
We've had a few blips recently, but still accumaling vital points. We will hopefully take at least a point against an improving Forest tomorrow, a point will do us in our quest. Don't be shocked if we finish the season off in style, we can't allow ourselves to be caught by two sides with so much to gain. Cardiff to win league the wise one would say, Hull should get a nervy second, Watford to come good on the play off's. Cash in!
