So he did, seems like only yesterday but it was two years ago, and he had only two years remaining. Fair enough then, carry on!
Heh, not many contract headaches for next season...best I can tell, Guly's the only player of any note who could expire after 2014, with Cork and our trio of CBs potentially expiring after 2015.
Just watched the interview on Saintsplayer. Buzzing to be a Saints fan at the moment. We've never had it so good (well, bar the early 80s, but I wasn't around then, so yeah).
Well, we have, as recently as 2003. but there was little prospect of doing better, though Lowe mistakenly thought he'd cracked it. Aside from that, Jason Puncheon mentioned that Adam was Mr Southampton, and to tie him down to a contract was what the club needed to do, to send out the message. I think that was a fair assessment too.
The 80s team was mainly quality players coming to the end of thier careers, the players that are resigning now have not even peaked yet. Good times indeed
In his interview, Lallana talks about looking up to players like Lambert and SKD and how he tries to learn from them (despite being Captain). A great guy and team player. Also seemed very happy to be called a 'one-team man'....said he has never considered leaving Southampton.
Brilliant news! Cant wait to see what he brings to the team in the coming seasons and for the England team, Roy!
Ten past ten is the usual configuration for watch photographs. Looks like a smile. I'm sure they're making sure to set them to that time before all the pictures.
