I'd have McLean back in the squad at some point just because he's got to be better than Proschwitz has been when he's played recently and I'd rather have McLean on the bench but we all know he isn't the answer to our striking woes.

I saw the Ipswich team at my local gym today, however unfortunately I didn't get chance to talk to Aaron. I don't think he'll be here next season regardless of what league we're in, which is a shame as he seems to be very well liked by the other players in our squad.

Normally it would have been flying all over the place. But as Aaron Mclean is still a Hull City player I wonder if Mad Mick has told AM to stay away this week. Well the tactical briefings at least ?? Downside of the loans system imo.

He might be a decent bloke, but I don't want him back at City.

This is football and you want the best players to play for your team. There's no room for sentiment.

Bullard said City was his best club he's played for, praising the fans and the place, but then again most people hate him.

Ipswich are down to the likes of Chopra - Healy - Murphy and Nouble now.

Mclean cannot play and McGoldrick has gone back to Forest as his 93 day loan period is over with.

Agreed. Another option and runs forever. I wonder if he and Boyd could get it together like they did @ Peterboro.

If Ipswich are not going to play Mclean then bring him back home.

<ok> is he now. Did not know that. <cheers> But AM could not play saturday anyway. I expect it to be Chopra and Murphy up front subject to fitness.

Interesting - wondered why he hadn't featured for Ipswich for several weeks. Anyone know what the problem is?

Chazz is on the money here, apparently he tried to kick a banjo at a cows arse but missed and ended up kicking it into his own face, breaking his jaw.

People eulogising Mclean shows how long we have had striker troubles for, great lad and might have out-scored Simpson given a chance/ been a better sub than Proschwitz but really we need a proper striker like Golaccio says. You don't sign players according to how good they are on Twitter otherwise Barton would be the best player in the world and Mclean would be Messi standard

It was reported last week in the national press that he would play his last game @ Derby last saturday and go back to Nottingham Forest. Ipswich Town hope to make the signing in the summer of McGoldtick.

However, after your reply i have looked further and McGoldrick will stay and train at Ipswich Town BUT CANNOT PLAY anymore games for them this season.

I think many were not commenting on his footballing prowess, more on the fact that he is really a nice bloke.

He's definitely a genuinely nice bloke, no ones got a bad word to say about the lad. I like him, his attitude and hope it works out for him.

I'd rather have him in the team than Simmo, his work and strike rates are better. Simmo makes Garcia look like Micheal Owen!
