Not seen one and given the good discussion on the Ipswich thread how about a bit of information sharing on where to get a really good pint of beer.

I like malty beers, at the moment there's really no good pubs in the Howden / Goole area. The most consistent pint round me is Timothy Taylor's at Whelans (Asselby)
The Wheatsheaf in Howden also serve it, sometimes its good sometimes cloudy and looses its head too quickly :(

So where can you find a good pint? Which one and how consistent are they?

Sam Smiths wherever you can get it, and Stella in Belgium.

How about the Brewers Arms in Snaith?

You can't beat a pint of Old Mill Bitter.

    Abroad, abroad , abroad.

    Show off.

They drink bitter because they're poor and can't afford lager you insensitive bastard.

Probably never been abroad, most of us haven't.

    Think about it eh?

Depends where you, in Hong Kong I have no trouble getting John Smith's or Boddington's and failing that, you can almost always get Guiness.

Leffe brun. Everywhere has that in Europe.

To be fair they do have some ****ing good beers over there. Lots of smallish family breweries about that make fantastic beer 10x better than the mass produced **** you find in 90% of pubs over here. Over there everywhere seems to have a rather large selection of edifferent stuff.

You need to try Askern miners welfare, I go there about 6 times a year, its about £1.50 a pint, the milds even cheaper and they even do there own lager for the ladies and smallie boys.

I like German lager or wheatbeers though not been to Germany for quite a long time. Mostly get beers from the supermarket now, crazy not to really given the price of a pint nowadays. Morrisons often has Bitburger, Schneider Weiss, and other decent beers really cheap. I heard Aldi does similar

Just seen this. Your right as always Carmine. If my jet setting fashion icon lifestyle has upset anyone, I'm sorry.
