I've never been a "fantasy book" reader but was an ass manager at a book store to help pay my bills during uni. Had so many people tell me I had to read the book (including a 60 yo lady coworker) figured if even she liked it... it had to be worth reading.

Since then I've been cursing George RR Martin for being the slowest writing author in history...

My prediction he will die before he finishes series. If its taking him 6 or 7 years per book now... and he has all this TV stuff to do... length of story keeps going up from an original trilogy to now 7 books minimum.

He is one extremely fat bugger... getting older... and under more stress with so much going on. No way he will finish series before kicking the bucket.

First two books were excellent. Others merely good.

TV Series is good too... although I think the excessive sex and nudity kind of takes away from it a little... almost all the scenes added to series not in book are sex scenes.

Not a prude as you all know but to use an analogy.

Quality Beer is good... but no one wants to drink crappy beer in excess. If I wanted nudity there are better quality sources.

RHC, the vast majority of asses I got to manage during my university years I met whilst working at the bookstore.

I would get unsolicited phone numbers handed to me on little slips of paper on a regular basis.

Having a British accent and working retail in the US definately has advantages.

Guan Tianlang. 14 years old. 1 over after first round! Incredible score for him.
Hopefully can match it tomorrow and make the cut <ok>

I hope there's another first time winner, I guess it's too much to hope for another South African to win it <whistle>

Sergio looked solid, would be rather nice if he could win his first major, but he'll probably have a terrible third round.

Bubba is awesome, would be great if he won back to back titles <ok>
