    Stoke City Form Guide:

Stoke City FC have dropped to 15th place on 34 points (-11 GD) - coming off a poor HOME defeat to relegation threatened Aston Villa, we now have only 1 win in our last 13 premier league games and have only managed 5 points from a possible 36 points in 2013 . It appears that our poor away form has now breached the walls of the Fortress Britania – our home record is now only 13[SUP]th[/SUP] best in the league taking 52.08% of available points!!!! Sunday see us host the champions elect who will be wounded after their home defeat to the noisy neighbours and they will no doubt want to rectify their uncharacteristic and only loss in their last 10. The stats suggest a loss but stranger things have happened, both Wigan and Norwich have beaten them in what accounts for only 6 losses in their last 37 premier league games. Only 28 goals in 32 games highlight our fundamental issue of not scoring goals and it has potentially raised its ugly head at the worst stage of the season!

LAST 10 Premier League Games: 1 Wins; 2 Draws; 7 Losses: Points (5 from 30)
LAST 37 Premier League Games: 7 Wins; 16 Draws; 14 Losses: Points (37 from 111)

    Manchester United Form Guide:

Manchester United currently sitting in 1st place on 77 points (+38GD) - coming off a home loss against Manchester City. They have won 8 of their last 10 games and will want to ensure their points lead doesn’t diminish any more than it needs to. have taken 4 points from their last 2 away games and have scored 6 goals in their last 3 away games. Both Villa and Wigan are making a fight for the last premier league place and scoring goals.

LAST 10 Premier League Games: 8 Wins; 1 Draws; 1 Loss: Points (25 from 30)
LAST 37 Premier League Games: 28 Wins; 3 Draws; 6 Losses: Points (87 from 117)

A few more facts that may worry the faithful:

We have only won 8 out of the last 43 Premier league games and we have only taken 4 points from the following - Fulham, WH, Newcastle, WB, Everton, Villa & Readng.

We are rock bottom of the the 92 clubs for goals scored.

I have gone for a rose tinted glasses, cup is half full - draw! However, I would be happy with just a postive performance that we can take into our next game. I dont expect anything from this game, but it was after all MoN's last fixture in charge?

If we get a draw I will be pleased and I think the team should be up for this one. It is unlikely, though, that we will get anything especially with United hurting from Monday's defeat to Citeh. Stoke really have nothing to lose and so ought to be able to play with little fear. I have actually voted for an away win as that is what is likely but I sincerely hope for a point which would boost confidence for the remaining games.

Can you nip into the dressing room around15mins before KO on Sunday?

That is exactly what Pulis should be telling the players!

IF we lose by that many goals we really are shafted IMO... We're fortunate that Wigan's goal diff is far worse than ours. It may well come down to that deciding our fate come mid May. IF Whelan is anywhere near the pitch I'll blow a gasket! Sunderland are equal with us -11 which is why we need something from the Utd game... Like a goal or 2, even if we lost I think a goal/s would give the team more confidence.

The problem here is that Pulis will probably try to go ultra defensive and we haven't been that good at that for a while.

Well according to the paper that never lies - Pulis is getting sacked after today -

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...f-Man-Utd-rout-Stoke-in-crunch-Prem-game.html

TONY PULIS faces the sack at Stoke — if they get tonked by Manchester United today.

His future will be decided in the next 48 hours. And a shambolic defeat to United could end his seven-year Britannia reign.

It may seem harsh that Pulis’ tenure will be decided by a game against the runaway Premier League leaders.

But the atmosphere at the training ground is at an all-time low and the board are starting to panic.

The Potters have won one of their last 13 league games and sit three points above the drop zone.

Pulis wants Stoke’s grumbling fans to get behind the team. They were booed off after last week’s 3-1 home loss to Aston Villa, a defeat which set alarm bells ringing.

After United, Stoke face fellow strugglers QPR, Norwich and Sunderland. The FA have launched an investigation.

I always believe the Sun <yikes>

Said it before, the team could run itself till the end of the season and do no worse.

If we cannot get at least 4 points from Norwich, QPR and Sunderland, we will get what we deserve!

Just read that article in the Sun, Waddo. I think it is unlikely especially as PC has backed Pulis at least until the end of the season. And what would such action achieve with the critical games v QPR, Norwich and Sunderland to follow, which ARE the 3 games which IMO will decide our fate.

The statement relating to the 'rock-bottom atmosphere at the training ground' is interesting though.
