  2. Since he's just picked up player of the month playing from the left, I'd leave him on the left <ok>

He's done better than expected out on the left wing and he links very well with Enrique.

However, as he grows physically and mentally, I can see him playing centrally as a classic number 10.

If we get Eriksen in the summer, then I expect Coutinho to stay out on the left for quite some time.

CAM! look at how he plays, he's not a winger, he was born to be a playmaker with his scything passes and dizzying dribbling. He should be just behind Suarez as number 10.

erm.... I'd not want to over burden so i think left of a front 3 is good.

I'd like to see him develop towards playing behind the front man in a 4-2-3-1... this is the no 10 role but he's still young and the other thing is i'd not like to see him play behind suarez I think him and suarez need to play behind someone like sturridge who's gone off.

On this incredibly rare occasion, yes. It's pure logic, so can't be faulted <ok>

This pretty much sums up what Coutinho brings from the boss himself...

On the left of attack coming inside, with an attacking full back overlapping.

LW is his best position i.m.o.
He's not really the type of player who could be the link between Midfield and attack, someone who could help retain possession and dictate play.
It's more like trying to play someone like Neymar down the middle. They are both creative and incisive players but midfield is not their best option.

Eriksen would an ideal number 10.

I'm willing to bet a team of Coutinhos would beat a team of Carraghers.

Some people on here may recall on old 606 I was posting updates on a football-manager 2010 experiment I ran.

I created a custom league and filled it with a team of all carraghers... team of Lucases... team of Gerrards... etc...

I don't even recall who won but I recall the team of Carraghers didn't do very well... I think team of Reinas was only team below him.
