Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......................and the bouncing jubblies were good too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got in this time. Thanks mate. At risk of offending sensibilities, not so much the craftsman, more his adoring fans on here (including myself), one or two design suggestions... Your artwork appears too big and detailed to capture within the available space. I'm sure you've adjusted the width to suit the site specs, but the image area appears far too deep for what looks like a 10cm or so drop between the blue not606 bar and the light gray tool bar. To further frustrate matters, a good third of the available space fades beneath the top borders of the 'page'. I worry that squeezing the upper section of your work in will take a fair bit of the creative essence away. Also, the mid blue slightly white-outlined 'QPR' on a black background is too low in contrast to make it stand out as proud and in yer face as perhaps it needs to be. Maybe a white fill with a couple of bold blue bands (hoops) and taking the italics off might help. If all you can get in after that is an image to the right and left, then those with Warnock and trophy to one side and Taarabt/Mackie with trophy to the other is one suggestion you might consider. As for the faded area beneath the 'page' borders, either the team, the fans or a blend of both maybe? Apologies for sticking my oar in, I love your work, but just cannot see how it's gonna fit and stand out as is. If sizing reductions or some other technical device prove me wrong, please ignore me, carry on as you were and I'll just crawl back under my stone!!
DPR: I'm sure you've seen it but just in case, Leicester's board gives an example of use of available image area.
To be honest guys i don't even know where this image was meant to be going, i was just asked if i could make my pc background image wider... From the description above it sounds more like a banner image to fill the area that's currently occupied by grass is required.. If that's the case its not a problem, i can redesign it to fit.... Let me know
Yes please DPR. Your artwork is very popular with us. I thought there might be a sizing misunderstanding... hope you don't mind us exploiting your evident talents in this way. You're a star... nah, better than that. YOU'RE AN R !!
Hows this ? please log in to view this image hmm that should have been the same size as the top banner.. let me re upload it....
The forum settings are reducing images to fit so heres a link to the full size banner image.. http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/8513/qprgrass.png I should have really looked at the Leicester page first as i now realise that most of the image is hidden.... The only thing i suppose we could do is to just fit images into the visable area but i'm not sure how good it will look... Let me know what you want me to do... U R'ss
I reckon bring the Warnock / tyrophy image far left so it avoids the faded overlap area and balance the composition with a Taarabt image to the far right. The general team and crowd stuff as is should still work even though the main part is covered by the faded area.
I'm guessing as to what area will be visable but hopefully this wont be far out.... please log in to view this image And a direct link as the above image has been resized.. http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7087/qprnot606banner.png
Thanks DPR. The site doesn't provide the best area to work in does it? Well done for adapting your wallpaper design to fit. I reckon we should try your adaptation out in situ and see if it works or not. Review it after a few days and we'll be better placed to know what if anything needs tweaking.
Can we get "Football League Champions 2011" back in it DPR? I liked that bit, and though it'd be good on the Prem board!
Ok try this one... please log in to view this image Link to full size.. http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/7900/qprnot606bannercopy.png
