After saying that West Ham's repulsive 'route one' style football and arrogant fans put them at par with the likes of Stoke, a West Ham fan decided to try and use this against me. http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/football-banter/2009/01/is-hull-citys-mauled-by-the-ti.html I didn't actually know that there'd been press coverage of our ironic, yet slightly embarrassing chant.
What the **** is wrong with it. At least it is original and our's. Every other chant I have heard at the KC this season has been exactly the same as every other club. No originality anymore.
Even though that was a particularly stupid comment, the Spammer who used this against us was trixter_whufc from the West Ham Forum and it couldn't be him as he can't string a sentence together.
Did anyone else read the subject of this thread and half-expect to open it and read "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti"?
Watford were singing "Stung by the Hornets" so it's not quite as original as we make out. Next we'll be hearing "Shot by the Gunners" with a load of Arsenal fans shooting at the away stand with their fingers.
What are the actions that Watford use alongside ''Stung with the Hornets''? Dont hornets sting with their arses? I imagine the Brighton boys would get a bit excited if Watford happened to sing it against them.
I don't usually join in but I think it's funny. West Ham fans can't speak, "blowing bubbles" has to be the most camp chant alive.
It does not matter how 'gay' our chant and actions are - we are at least confident in our gender identity /sexuality to permit ourselves the possibility of those with an irony by-pass missing the sheer fun of it. Their objections and scorn merely serve to highlight their lack of wit and intelligence. Those knuckle draggers who only sing 'manly songs' are possibly so low in self esteem and doubtful of their masculinity that they have to hide behind a shield of macho.
I really cant believe the irony of this chant goes over so meany heads. Someone on the comments section on said article slams us as post '96 fans, the epitome of Soccer AM naffness. But that's EXACTLY who we are mocking with the chant. How do they not see this?!? And people say Yanks dont get irony....
Really? I had a season ticket from 87 onwards and went to approx 15 away games every season without fail and I dont ever remember ever hearing it last century. And anyway, the actions are precisely what we're talking about. If we didnt do that then nobody wouldve ever mentioned thie chant.
It's as gay as Elton John sucking off Furnish whilst wearing a tutu. So is 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles', though
I was on a torrent site the other day and one of the pop ups had an animated gif of a woman bending over and taking a ****.
