We won't start Proschwitz on Saturday, in fact, I'll be surprised if we ever start Proschwitz again.

People criticising Gedo just highlights how stupid City fans can be when it comes to judging players. The thought process is literally just: 'has he scored in the last few games?' If he has he's good, if not he's ****. There's so much more to it than that. All Gedo's goals have been first time shots with the exception of the first one against Birmingham maybe. He relies on service, he's that kind of player. He's not a Fryatt or Aluko type who will create something from nothing but give him a chance and he'll score. If he doesn't get a chance he won't score. Doesn't mean he's played badly.

Gedo was **** on Saturday, whether he scored or not is a complete irrelevance, he was still ****.

And considering you seem to watch a different game to everyone else each week, I'd be be careful who you're calling stupid.

He's about the complete opposite of Jay Simpson, he scores goals but apart from that there's no point having him in the team. I actually think they'd make a good partnership, Simpson can hold the ball up and create for Gedo.

He's a finisher, and that's about all there is to his game IMO.

Gedo didn't play particularly well on Saturday but ISTPLT does have a point about the lack of chances created for him. It still doesn't change the fact that Gedo lost the ball on numerous occasions, ran himself into trouble and could have done a lot better.

I think Elmo has fallen out of form lately and Gedo depends upon his support from Elmohamady. Elmo will regain his form again and Gedo will score against Brizzle.

Playing a 442 with Fathi as the RB and Elmo as RM would only create better chances - they will have as good chemistry as Brady/Quinn, which would surely result in more chances being created on the wing for players like Gedo and hopefully Fryatt to feed on.

Elmo seems to be better in RB though, I'd have Fathi in RM and Elmo in RB because Elmo likes running onto a pass to whip a ball in. Fathi as we've seen isn't really a tackler and that's the way Egypt play; Elmohamady RB with Fathi RM.

However I'm pretty sure it'll be a great combination whichever way Bruce chooses to play them.

That's all we needed at the time though. Someone to get on the end of some crosses and finish a chance. He's done that really well since joining.

Elmo's carrying a knock I think, he's nowhere near as fast as he was and doesn't even try to beat his man so often any more.

But Rosenior came on ahead of Fathi at RB the other day, so it doesn't seem like Fathi is even rated to play there.

All this fahti should or been used earlier on Cm Is nonsense. We have gedo "playing on adrenaline" what do you think fahti would be playing on? The guy has bearly played a game in 18 month and we all want him playing in the most energy demanding position!!!
Now i am not saying Bruce was answer either!!
Meyler coming back will be a major influence for the team, personally i wouldn't risk 5-3-3 without 3 true cb, i would go 4-4-2, fahti at rb, rose lb, elmo and Brady on flanks ant told to attack, Meyler and Quinn in centre, boyd and simmo up front.

Fathi can play at the back so he can cover Brady as he bombs down the wing and Rosie looked as though he had never been away. Just to ambush Mad Micks planning IMO we should go 4-5-1 @ Ipswich and park the bus for the first hour. Then un-leash hell for the final bit.
Doubts already over Gedo with his foot injury and Boyd looks in need of a rest so i would leave Simpson up top on his own. Koren cannot play 3 games in 7 days either so he can sit the Ipswich game out imo.

    Stockdale

    Rosenoir Chester Faye Brady

    Elmohamady Evans Quinn Fathi

    Meyler

    Simpson

subs:- Jakupovic - Dawson - Cairney - Koren - Boyd - Gedo OR Fryatt* - Proschwitz

    *subject to fitness.

3 games in 7 days is a big ask as this stage of the seasion and Steve Bruce will have to rotate certain players without a doubt. At least some of them have much needed Fresher legs and energy.

Faye's 8 week break has allowed him to come back Fresh and Ready to see out the season. Faye looked well on top saturday and showed no signs of fade. Next week is the BIG week - 3 games in 7 days. So fingers crossed.

Gedo has had **** service of late and looked far from 100% on saturday. So he has valid reasons of late. Shame that he was not on the pitch though for the chance Simpson missed. Gedo would have buried that one.

The biggest problem of late has been a lack of chances overall. Easy to blame the strikers mind. ie.RVP has had a poor run of goal scoring of late also. It happens.

I work with one of the medical teams girlfriends, I'll ask her as she did say her boyfriend and Hobbs get on really well.

So with Hobbs back in contention for Saturday which way does SB go?
He can now play his favoured 5-3-2 using all of his available central defenders and hope for no more injuries or he can revert to 4-4-2 and keep one on the bench so we at least have one reserve for the last 5 games if another gets injured.
It's a tough call and based on Faye's performance on Saturday I imagine Hobb's would sit it out if we did play 4-4-2.

I wouldn't risk Hobbs unless he's 100%. But I would prefer to stick to 3-5-2 if possible.

I think if Meyler had not been back then I would have gone for 442, but as he will be back and if Hobbs is fit to start then stick with 3-5-2.
