Can't help but feel that the media is changing it's tune a bit. Positive articles seem to be appearing all over the place at the moment: http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/...-the-gamble-few-would-have-backed-227677.html
It appears that we might all owe Nicola Cortese a grovelling apology. Dear, oh dear... And I haven't even read the article yet. EDIT: Wow, and now that I've finally read it, that crackles with truth and the optimism I'd love to see in Saints fans. Good, uplifting read.
very good article and fair . However , another one than mentions his inability to speak English , he CAN speak English !
His lack of English appears to be a media masterstroke. Nothing appears to stop a journalist from asking difficult and awkward questions more than giving the perception of bullying Johnny Foreigner via an innocent interpreter. I just wonder how long this serade can continue
Thanks for the post. Great article that captures what I think as a fan, and I'm pretty sure is fast becoming the new consensus. The only thing that could make the wheels come off would be to have a board as unimaginative and lacking ambition as the one in power in the 80's when they wouldn't give Lawrie the resources he needed. Imagination and ambition don't seem to be in short supply with Cortese.
the first paper to finally acknowledge they were wrong? i'd love all the papers/pundits to do this but they wont.
I think a few papers have admitted that the hiring of Mauricio has worked out well, though most feel that Nigel didn't deserve it....well most fans would agree with that. I'm glad the media didn't get a chance to crow anyway.
