He has got a relegation release clause hasn't he? Therefore the only bidding war would be with regard to his wages. Would it be wrong to hope he picks up an injury just before the end of the season to put potential bidders off?
Do you know how these things work Roller ?? I figured that if his release clause was say £7 mill then we would have to listen to any offers above that. Doesn't that mean it could still reach a bidding war above and beyond the release clause ?
If the clause was £7 million, then no one would offer more than that. We would have to accept any offer at that price.
But say Arsenal offered £7mill, if someone else really wanted him couldn't they offer £8 mill and so on ?? I really don't get how it works
It becomes his choice if 2 or more clubs trigger the release clause figure (6mill I heard somewhere) then he gets to pick.
Oh ok, so it's out of our hands. As long as the price is met then he can choose who he wants to go to. Thanks for that.......real shame
The other team would also offer £7 million, we would have to accept their offer too, and the two (or more) clubs would have to convince him that his future was with them. It they would depend on what he wanted. Money, trophies, to live in London, a dressing room where the main language as French, whatever takes his fancy.
suppose there's always the vague possibility he wouldn't want to leave........but the business plan presumably assumes that he will. Keep up Roller.
I don't think there is any possibility that he won't leave, unless he picks up an injury. Where's Matt Pickens these days?
The Guardian reckon his release clause is £8 million http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/08/qpr-relegation-loic-remy
The PL channel have his goal as one of the hot tips for Goal of the season - 1 of the pundits thinks it will be, the other though it between him and one from Suarez think he said.
so you guys recon he would do well playing infront of michu? any idea bout his wages as atm we are thinking about players from teams who might get religated that may do well for us IF they don't costs too much.
If as is reputed, he had never even heard of Newcastle it is unlikely that he will even know how to get to your part of the world let alone want to play for you. keep up. Apparently it's his choice where to go next.
Something in those celebrations makes me believe maybe he may stay...wishful thinking maybe but I hope he does, he would rip the championship apart
Tbh, it's a bit weird. He is a fantastic finisher. Probably one of the best I've ever seen. He'll run onto a ball and it's in the back of the net in a flash, but you won't notice him for the rest of the game. He knows where the goal is though. ( Unless it's a pen or a header. Hopefully will prove me wrong with this on Saturday. )
