Bristol City would have to win all 5 games to stay up.

If you really believe that, get yourself down to the bookies and stick a ton on it.

We would probably need to win all of our games to finish top, which would mean that we get promotion anyway.

I'm really not too bothered about being Champions at the moment, obviously it would be great, but I don't think it could be much better than finishing second. I'll get excited about it once we are clear of Watford - but it can't hurt to have Cardiff dropping points.

Interesting to read this thread. We all felt that getting a point at Watford was the turning point for us. However, tonight shows that we are going to make it as hard for ourselves as we possibly can. You think you make it hard for yourselves. This is our umpteenth year of poking our heads into the PRemiership and... well, this time, everyone says we're oging to make it. Cardiff are great going forward, looking to score. Tonight we were patient; there was movement, intelligence, guile. We scored. Great. Then, with twenty minutes to go we sat back and gave them the ball. I'm ****ing furious with Malky. HAving said that, I'm not half as angry with him as I am with our amazing non scoring centre forward, Heider Helguson, who should have buried it for us. I have a terrible feeling that we;re going to lose at Forest. If Watfor win at the weekend, then we're going to be ****ting ourselves. WE do it weevery year. I'\m scared and would give you the championship NOW for secnd place. I hate being a football fan sometimes but I really hope that we play for the championship in the last game, with both teams being safe. BEst wishes.

Think Forest's little hot spell is over.

Also think Watford's premature post match celebrations here last week were laughable and of the top 3 they are by far under the most pressure.

To put it into perspective for you, we're 6 points behind you and we think it's very unlikely we'll catch you.

Watford are a further 3 pts behind us. For them to catch you is nigh on impossible.

Only a complete collapse by your team (and I'm talking maybe 1 draw and 4 defeats) would give Watford a sniff of catching you but they would still have to gain 10 pts to do so.

So all in all highly unlikely.

Cos Cardiff are not going to collapse are they ? Are they ? ARE THEY ??:emoticon-0105-wink:

After a couple of draws Malky should have your boys fully pumped for the next 2 games against Forest who have drawn their last 3 and mid table Charlton, both at home.

With Watford away for their next 2, I think you'll be promoted after beating Charlton.

they may well be, I just don't think they'll claim all 6pts from the 2 aways and I believe Cardiff will from their respective 2 home games.

So incensed was I to read this fraudulent post!!!
At the start of the season there was a cross-over thread involving us Leeds and Leicester fans about where everyone thought their teams would finish and I'll have you know that much to the derision of most, I was the only one who predicted City would finish top. The thread has disappeared now, but I'm sure someone will remember.
Therefore if MY prediction is realised I won't take kindly to mere pretenders trying to steal my rightful crown as the High Seer of not606 HCAFC.
    You have been warned!!!!

No. As much as I hate Forest if we win at Ipswich it would be far better if Cardiff lose. Two vacant auto spots increases our chances of going up.

To be honest guys, I couldnt give a flying monkeys whether you catch us or not, provided Watford don't catch us aswell! Champions or not is totally irrelevant to me....

Id quite like the final day of the season to be an anticlimatic borefest promotion party, but we always tend to make seemingly easy tasks incredibly difficult.

The bright side for you is we really should have promotion secured before we play, you which would mean you would probably comfortably beat us on the last day of the season if you needed to...

I wont be happy till its over though (i hope!)

best of luck (unless its at our expense!!) :p

I'll leave the chicken counting to the Venkys of this world, what I do know is we're in probably the best position we've been in in our history.

I'm guessing there'll be few fans experienced the highs and lows that a City fan has over the last four decades.
