Well, that's it. Yet another trophyless season for the two North London clubs. Arsenal will now have to get through, possibly a tricky Champions League qualifier whilst Tottenham join Stoke, Birmingham and potentially Blackpool or Fulham as the Premier League representatives in the Europa Cup next season. What do Arsenal need to do to if they are to compete with Manchester United and Chelsea for Premier League success and what do Tottenham need to do to ensure they can compete into the latter stages of the Europa cup whilst pushing for 5th-7th place next season? Lets hope for a more successful season in 2011-12.
Arsenal need to spend, simple as, and we need to do the same. We need strength in depth, that we're sorely lacking
Tottenham and Le Arse need strenthening in very similar areas, GK, CB, Str, if both clubs get new players of a high enough quality in these positions then both clubs should be close to acheiving their goals (no pun intended). This is of course assuming that neither club loses any of their best players Modric/Fabregas, etc. although selling a player of that quality would undoubtedly generate some major transfer funds, whether or not a move like that would result in an improvment in the overall quality of either squad is open to debate....
I think we need to keep modric, because he has been our best player all season. Him and Sandro have the makings of a great central partnership, with bale on the left, and lennon on the right. get us a quality striker to play up front with Pavlyuchenko, and replacement CB as King cannot go on for much longer, nor Gallas. Dawson needs a long term partner. And GK, everyone knows about our issues there.
