While we are forecasting who is definitely going to leave, who might leave and who will stay.......could it be within the realm of possibility that a fair few players would opt to stay purely based on their astronomical wages?

Now, I'm no football agent, and it's fairly obvious that:
    1) players would receive a drop in wages if they are relegated
    2) and footballers aren't exactly known as the most loyal and noble of professionals,

but not withstanding Remy and Samba, could anyone else stay? I would expect the likes of Ferdinand to return, Traore, Green and Diakite to stay. I think despite all his criticisms, SWP would cause havoc in the Championship with his pace. Bothroyd would do a job too.

    Thoughts?

I think that SWP will stay only because no body else will buy him.

In addition to the examples given by previous posters, two examples of players we will find hard to shift. Who would buy Bosingwa on £65K per week or Cesar on £75K per week for a 33 year old?

We need to get real. After relegation is confirmed, we need these type of lads off the payroll asap. Will we find a club as stupid as ourselves to pay them what we pay? Not a chance in hell. Their choice will be, stay and play Championship football or move elsewhere for less money.

Yes, we will have no problem getting buyers for Remy, Samba, Adel etc should we choose to sell them.

Not really. Leeds and Man City ended up paying a contribution of the players wages with their new clubs just to get them off the payroll. You will be forced to sell them, and the players will not accept less money at another club. You're really not holding all the cards here.

We will have trouble getting rid of the crap overpaid player like SWP but no problem getting rid of Cesar, Remy, Samba Taarabt etc and we dont even have to accept a low price. Id be quite happy to keep them all.

We got rid of Barton and his 60k a week as hes confirmed hes staying at Marseilles.

I want them all to stay
I want QPR to become stable if there is any more chopping and changing then I predict nothing but total melt down.
No one knows the full contracts of the
players why on earth do you think it's all geared towards the players

Anyone even thought that there may even one or two clauses that may benefit the club for example wage cuts if we are relegated ?

Why do you think that the contracts take so long to agree upon

Christ there are some naive fans out there

You can't build a football team on a games machine ... That's the beauty

Yes we can all make educated guesses but bring some balance to the discussion table please!

We do not know and the ****ing ****ing media do not know jack **** about contracts the media that seem to influence a lot of posters on here are in your nuts lads ... Wise up and stop guessing just be honest

Apart from Park I want them all to stay too. They are all good enough for the Chamopionship if we go there, and if TF can afford to keep them, great. Probably very few of us know s*d all about what players really earn, so it's a waste speculating about it.

We don't know all the ins & outs, but, if you look at the % increase on wages since being in the EPL, you will know that you can't pay that in the Championship. Even the eternal optimist St Eustace will agree.............. I jest ofcourse!

Fernandes has said everyone bar Remy will be staying, it's just up to Harry who he keeps and sells, as would be the case even if we stayed up. Wages not really a problem due to the parachute payments.
