    Hi all,

Firstly on topic, it isn't me doing all this.

I just came across a blog that had comments on someone who has the information(let's hope he's not going Cwarr07 on us)

    The link is http://www.nufcblog.com/2013/04/08/newcastle-not-safe-yet-but-glory-still-possible/

As it's all in the comments section I'm not going to copy and paste everything, if you guys can read it , do read it and see what you arrive at from there.

Pretty interesting stuff if its true

An excerpt I quote "I also know Alan Pardew gets a percentage of players sales, and he refused to take the money he was due from the Carroll sale. He wanted it invested in new players."

Pretty interesting , if it were true, that might explain why 'Arry loves to wheel and deal

The more I look at this list... the more I realise what a cracking job Ashley is doing for us:

    Mbiwa: 7.000.000

    Gouffran: 1.700.000
    Debuchy: 5.400.000
    Mbabu: 880.000

    Bigirimana: 1.100.000
    Cisse: 10.500.000
    santon: 4.900.000

    total: 51.3 million

A lot of bargains there. Sissoko Cabaye stand out to me.

SUrprised at the fees we got for Routledge and LuaLua

Looking at that list I thought "Gee, that's a lot of money for Anita" because in comparison to what we paid and what we got with Cabaye or Sissoko, it is.

Then you think: No, it's £7.4 million for a young full international who has shown soem real promise in his first season in the Prem.

And then you realise that our standards are skewed; what the rest of the league thinks is a bit of a snip looks to us like a bit over the odds. Which of course is good.

£7.4 million for a youngster that always gives his best and never stops trying, and can only get better.

Money very well spent in my opinion.

And besides, if you compared what we had the years before, with Guthrie as backup and Anita, I'd take Anita anyday.

Anita is the one who needs time more than any. Little fellas always take longer to adapt to the PL. Start of next season I bet he begins to look a different player. He had a cracking spell anyway before the new arrivals. Has a terrific engine on him.

Think I might have been misunderstood. Anita looks like a good player and full value for £7.4 million. He's done well this season and will do better in the future.

The point I was making is that there are so many absolutely fantastic bargains in that list (Cabaye, Sissoko, Gouffran, Debuchy . . . the list goes on) that a merely good value purchase like Anita looks expensive by comparison.

I was saying the exact same thing to someone last week. Ignore the static summer last year and our transfer business really has been second to none over the past couple of seasons.

Wouldn't believe a word of that "audit" comment, all seems far fetched, and is "friend of a friend of a friend" stuff. Just an attention seeker trying to seem knowledgeable. An auditor would (or should!) never disclose financial information about a company they audit to anyone, let alone someone who would spill the beans on a very public forum.

Some interesting other points about our buying/selling though! throughout the article and comments

Actually, the club are required to prepare and file with Companies House audited financial statements, with supporting schedules. Anyone with an account can get them for £4.

I'll print off a copy of the real deal and see if the figures are legit.

Well, mighty debooshy is right to have been sceptical.

The latest audited accounts, released last week, are not yet on Comapnies House, though they have been seen by the media. Companies house frequentl y run a couple of weeks late. They were for the period ending 30 June 2012, though, so wouldn't include any of the players that are discussed by the OP.

The format of the accounts only shows the total value of the players registrations at the beginning of the year. This is the prucahse price less amortisation.

Total acquisitions (amount spent buying players duringthe course of the year) is shown, but is not broken down by individual players.

The total book value of the players sold is shown, as is the overall profit or loss from the sale of players (i.e: whether they were sold for more or less than their depreciated book value).

It isn't possible to deduce individual purchase and sale figures from the accounts.
