Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner accuses former Newcastle striker Demba Ba of play-acting after being ruled out of Sunday's Tyne-Wear derby. Gardner, 26, was booked for the 10th time this season for a challenge on the Chelsea striker during the Black Cats' 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge and will now serve a two-match ban. "It was a fair tackle. He's just rolled around and forced the booking," Gardner told the Journal.
Of course it was a fair tackle, just like the previous 9 were. It's pretty obvious the refs just have it in for him.
Ba has properly bought into the role then, going off injured at Half time... that's some dedication to play acting, that. What an idiot Gardner is, he's such a SMB. Personally I thought the tackle was a little lucky to not be more that a yellow, went over the ball studs up and scissored Ba with his trailing leg.
What a load of horse droppings, the ref had the card out before Ba hit the deck. I think he was bloody lucky to stay on the pitch.
