If I heard the news correctly, I believe we're the feature on BBC's Late Kick-Off at 11:30 tonight. Always worth a watch if you don't already, they usually have Deano/Browny on but since as in PB has found himself at Southend, there's an open slot for some other pointless pundit (excluding Deano as he actually speaks sense - sometimes ). You get highlights of all Yorkshire Clubs and more of an insight into your own Club.
I've just seen the opening and it was, "To Hull and back, is this the year that Hull City make it back to the Promised Land?" So I think we are featured.
In all fairness though, the 'Boro game was dire and there wasn't much to say on it. There also isn't much to say on Steve Bruce as he's already been covered with his first Season success when we featured on the Football League Show. I expected that quick five minutes.
"To Hull and back"? What a great pun! Astonishing that no one's thought of that one before. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if some journo borrowed that for a future article !
If I remember rightly, I think I saw the Hull City Twitter Account say that it's Alex Bruce and David Stockdale doing the 'Man-on' quiz.
That was obviously recorded before the 'Boro game as Bruce was rather happy and bouncy. AB actually seems like a funny guy. Stockdale wasn't happy...
Scunthorpe in all fairness have been punching above their weight anyway. They're a very small Club and have probably seen the most success that they're going to. Low League 1 or League 2 is their level. That's what makes me laugh when they're complaining on Radio Humberside expecting to be in the Championship again. Morons.
I was just thinking the other day how much things have changed since Scunthorpe and Grimsby were both in higher divisions than City. There was a lad at my gym who was a Grimsby supporter and he was always so smug when I mentioned City. I haven't seen him recently, shame really.
My mate (who says he supports Liverpool) made a bet with me back when we were in secondary school that Grimsby Town would get to the premier league before City. It was one of them daft wagers you make brought about by a stupid classroom row & shooting your mouth off. Back then they were above us and we were in the bottom tier. Although, i doubt i was in much trouble of losing the bet since they were ****e as well. Despite the fact City eventually went up to the that level and we bypassed grimsby, he's still not paid me.
I had a similar bet when I was in Primary, there was only me and City 1904 in our whole year who supported City, I got the money in the end. What really got to me was after all these kids were giving us grief for years when I checked Facebook the day we went up was all the "we're a Premier League team" statuses that got posted. Didn't even take a year for most of them to be supporting Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal again.
My sarcasm detector has just malfunctioned... You fo real nigga? Is every regions late kick off available on iplayer? And is every regions late kick off at 11:30 pm on a Monday evening?
You 've had it easy mate. I have lived in Portsmouth for over 35 years and all I have had over those years of ardent support of City is smugness from Pompey supporters at its highest. Theboot is frimly on the other foot and all those smug bastards don't want to talk about football any more. I have to say that I have used all my restraint not to be so smug but it is difficult.
