OT - Other forums trolls

As I've sent on other threads when feelings start running high, rising to the bating is doing exactly what most of these gloaters want you to do. Is that what you want? Do you want to be their little puppets and repond, behave and react in a way they are setting you up to do? That so many of us (un)happily walk straight into it is a perpetual mystery to me.

I've popped across to other MBs on the very odd occasion - usually around the time the Rs are playing their team - and there is often one or two Rs fans stirring the pot, so it comes as little surprise that there's retaliation. If you're unhappy with these so-called trolls and WUMs then perhaps first turn your ire on the Rs that draw them over here. If they're coming over on their own accord then either ignore or engage positively and constructively. It can be fun responding persistently with a straight bat; many of them lack the intelligence to know how to deal with it.

For the record, I have been known in the distant past to do exactly what I'm advising against here. I am aware of my past hypocrisy and that occassionally I have the urge to resume. But understanding this is half the battle.

 

I understand your point Uber and have to say that it is very valid, there are enough posts put on other teams boards mimicking exactly what we are experiencing from one or two others here.

I prefer to debate facts with opposing fans but as you say; sometimes they struggle to deal with their own lack of knowledge and debating skills.
We all deal and react differently to name calling, but what goes around comes around and you can guarantee that when one of the trolls teams fall there will be a QPR fan there poking their carcass.

We clearly bother the guys that are making the effort and for me that makes me laugh at them all the more.

 

sorry re the intrusions from a couple of our lads, there is no need for it. i get on well with GTH and kiwi in particular. banter is banter and crap is crap, no need for the crap. no offence but you are down me thins with Reading, wonder who #3 will be, enjoy the rest of the season regardless

 

Moderation

As the findings of our recent review makes clear, wumming (as defined there) is against our rules.

There is also a clear means for action that saves mods from having to trawl through every post on every thread looking for evidence against an alleged 'offender'.

The system is now this.

PM both mods with your complaint that our rules have been broken. Give details AND a link(s) to the threads in question and post numbers (i.e. #49 and #83).

If we mods agree with you, we will then pass the link(s) etc. on to the Supermod with our recommendations for action. He won't act without thread links and post numbers.

Not hard is it? Thought all this was made clear enough.

Me too. Not proud of my behaviour yesterday, think I scared the living **** out of my family. Toughest blow I've taken as an R along with the Andy Campbell goal in the play off final. And todays work paying the price for it. I honestly believed we would make it before yesterdays game. And the script was perfectly written with us scoring a wondergoal with ten men and five minutes remaining, the great escape was surely on. The result is so cruel it beggars belief.

I stopped contributing to the match thread as soon as the game ended. These WUM guys will always pop up... JUST IGNORE THEM THEY'LL GET BORED - especially you Turkish. Who cares?!

I well remember many QPR posters on the Swansea Forum,giving it large,and pointing out how many sheep we Welsh shag on a day to day basis.

I put it down to jealousy on their part, since Welsh lamb is a real delicacy,and reserved for us and the French, who are the only ones who can afford to buy it,whilst Londoners are only able to get their hands on frozen New Zealand lamb,and it's difficult to shag that.

It's a terrible thing,jealousy,such a negative emotion.

 

We have a few trolls ourselves. Interesting who the OP is asking for this. Hard to have a go at others when our own house is not in order. But giving it out when on top is what some people do, so taking it when at the bottom is what people need to do. Accept that our time will come, and so will their's.

 

you might as well ban us as it dont matter you wont be in our league anyway so you will be of no interest..

We could be ten leagues below the conference and you sad bastards would still have a thread about us every week.

 

Brentford are even worse, on one of their main boards they have been dissecting us game by game.

 

They had a 90 page relegation thread about us last season, its probably well into 3 figures for this season, it will be very lively if we play them next year.

still at least being the bearded lady of the league makes you interesting. The only thing at the circus that resembles us at the moment comes out of the back end of ol' dumbo.
