The final instalment of the trilogy of away games seeâs the Chairboys take on the Brewers in what looks a less daunting encounter than it did just over 2 weeks ago with the Brewers having not won a game since the 12th of March and a 7-1 hammering on Friday their promotion push has lost some of its fizz. Gaz will be hoping on the fitness of his forwards and will have to change the successful 5 man midfield due to Stuart Lewis picking up his 10th booking of the season and missing the next 2 matches. I am expecting a hard encounter and the lads to drive away from the Pirelli with a draw http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=315485
i am worried about burton needing to bounce back from thier 7-1 defeat and how high they are up the table, but they are honestly one of the worst sides ive seen all season...going for a draw here
I'm hoping to make this game as it's only up the road for me. As already suggested a close game, they are likely to be a bit nurvous if we score first though. We should go all out to get that early goal!
Sorry folks but i think we'll lose this one but it would'nt do too much damage as we should beat Aldershot on saturday.
The away game resulted in a 3-0 victory for Wycombe. But, Burton spent the last 35 minutes with 10 men having had Diamond dismissed for conceding a disputed penalty that put us 2-0 up and changed the game. Doespite this, the stats showed they still managed 51% possession, had 6 shots (3 on target) against our 7 shots (4 on target). They also had 9 corners to our 4. With 11 players on the pitch for 90 minutes and smarting from a 7-1 thrashing I think they will be a different proposition tonight and we will do well to come away with a point.
