I hope the 6 days rest helps Gedo but we have too many like him with stamina issues or not able to play a lot of games close together. Maybe Fryatt can do what Gedo did initially and play on adrenaline for a few games, might be all we need then he can have the summer to get fit for the Premiership.

he started in the middle and Bruce shouted out some instructions and they changed positions.

If Fryatt had been fit all season, I'm sure he would have had 25 goals by now !
All the chances Simpson has missed, it's shocking really.

I'm a little more worried about Faye being able to play 3 games in 6 days.

Correct. But Quinn is more suited to the middle anyway.

but if we either line up 4 across the back or a 3 with Fathi and Chester (both of whom are very mobile) he won't need to cover that much ground.

we just need a brick wall infront of goal and someone to dominate their dead balls and keeper kicks, I'd back him to do that 3 times in 6 days.

If we are having to play 442 it leaves him a bit exposed I think, he might have to do a bit more running around and 3 games in 6 days could be a bit much for the big fella.

His heads gone at the moment. If anyone has had chance to go to training ground, you'd see. He's prancing about as if he's walking in egg shells. Brucey has been alluding to it as well whenever hes spoken about fryatt. Yes he's had a long term injury blah blah blah but he needs to have confidence that the injury has healed or he'll get get crocked again

Nice to see Matty coming back into the fold, with a bit of luck he can nick a couple of goals to help us on our way. Anyone any ideas on how Aluko is coming on, he too last I heard, was supposed to be due back around this time?????

Looks like we won't see Matty at Ipswich on Saturday.

For some reason, tomorrow's behind closed doors game against Brum has been cancelled and he's unlikely to be risked.

Its a funny one with Simpson not scoring as he's been prolific-ish earlier in his career before he joined us. Its a crying shame Proschwitz has not stepped up to the plate as the 20 odd goals we are lacking would have come from him, I had my doubts before we signed him really thought it was a very big gamble. At least Simpson has contributed with all round play, through balls and so on and working very hard.

I would not rule out Fryatt being on the bench totally but it would need something desperate to use him. Maybe just his presence on the bench will give Us a fillip and Ipswich something to think about.

I note that the reserves have a Cup game against Reckitts tonight. I wonder if he may get a run out in that one ??

He was on the Hull to Sheffield train yesterday midday - got out at Donny so I assume he was going home to family.

Anybody know why Matty didn't get a run out at Brum yesterday (as reported in HDM)? Was the game called off?

Good to see Matty back. The other year he was assaulted by Brian Stock and he had his jaw broke. He returned just in time for the play offs. He was lacking fitness but still got us a goal in the play offs

He might make the squad for the weekend, if he recovers from sickness.
