Good move this. I wonder if it takes Agustien out of the equation. He reminds me of Orlandi too much in that he has bags of talent, but too inconsistent and injury prone. Agustien could have been a massive hit here, but it's never worked out, and maybe it's just best to say Thanks very much, and good bye.
Agustein doesn't deserve another opportunity to wear the shirt. Been very poor this season imo. Fantastic news that Canas has been snapped up. Just what we needed, a bit of steel in midfield
Hey Pete where you bin - I'm gonna keep asking until somebody answers - what's the rule around foreign players and where do we stand - let's assume these two coming in?
Kemy, hmmm. Ive been a bit in and out with him , sometimes great other times ****e! i got into alot of arguments about him a few seasons back ,when he was sent on loan to Palace. Im not sure what it is but i get a whiff of the big time with him and i think he is maybe one of those that has it all but wont work at 100% A story in Ash's book that im reading(needed to buy it to gauge some insight into his charector and to see if he is the type to walk away from us,bad news, he is!!) mentions the time when the club were going to tenerife on training camp and kemy was so late for the bus he missed it completely having to catch them up in Heathrow in his car to make the flight!, Brenden wernt pleased! that kind of thing could be a genuine error,it happens, but i get the feeling thats a bit too lax for somebody who needs to bring his A game in training and on the field!! Just my view.
What makes you think that Norway? Haven't read the book so would be interested to hear what made you form that judgement
Well you always get a flavour of a personality when reading these kinds of books and he strikes me as the type that would want to play for a big club . But some things that give you a feeling of which way he may swing id the fact he still has his house in Birmingham and spends every spare chance there not here, he is a life long Liverpool fan and talks up Brenden big time in his book, put it this way there is alot of man love for Brenden . now, Liverpool and Brenden ?? a match made in heaven for Ash that is! fawning over his trip to anfield and touching the anfield sign when running out for the Swans is somethinf i can well understand though. Ash is at the right age for his dream move, also has his foreword written by his big time mate Rio ferdinand. Ive not finished the book yet but you do get a hint of what he is all about. The only reason i picked up on any of this was when his agent strangely came out in the press and said "ash is happy to stay at swansea" well mate, we know he just signed a deal!! but of course i go on to read that "ash is very happy in swansea...but, if a top 4,5,6 club made an offer we would have to look at it" or words to that effect. The first thing i thought was how strange to come out and say the boy isnt going anywhere, why say anything at all ?? Reason seems to be that his agent is laying the groundwork for a move out, Ash also says in his book that his agent does everything wth contracts and he doesnt get involved, thus taking any personal issues away from the negotiations, wise move actually. The timing of his agent putting stuff in the press was a bit weird too,as if to say" if you want him come and get him" Thats my bizzare theory anyway, or at least part of it ! The thing that almost makes his move 100% is my joker in the pack, the reason is as follows. I bought Roberto Martinez book, he left. I bought Monks book, he was almost gone to Bristol then got injured! I bought Ash Williams book............ Needless to say i will not be buying anything by Michu Chico Vorm Britton JDG Dyer Routs Pablo Ki Jdg Rangel Davies Taylor Laudrup ..
Great signing this. We've needed a hard hitting tackler for a while now. Can't wait until he's let loose on Grant "the ****" Holt.
I'd like to see Leon do a book, with the rise through the divisions, I think it would be a cracking read.
But Norway is banned from reading it until he retires Cheers for the reply Norway. Having read what you just posted, it looks likely that will indeed move to Liverpool then if they make an offer for him (which Dai has alluded to for a while now).
Im not sure by any means Valley, i hope he stays here but if the price is right then i beleive he will want to go. Ash has a slight problem at the moment though and thats the fact that we are well **** at the back these days, with that his buzz will cool down i guess. His age is catching up with him fast and i can see him thinking about one last big move to sort him out for the rest of his career, whatever happens he is a Jack Legend for what he has done for us
not dyer or any of the other players fault that they are not playing to their potential. Its laudrups fault for trying to get them to play where they are not comfortable with.... The players are as good as they ever were its the system that is bad as results and players performance is proving....too many changes that are not nessessary that has stopped a winning formula....
A couple of questions if you would be so kind to respond to Dai Who's the manager ? Do the players decide where they'd like to play ? Could that be the start of player power and is that something you'd like to see ? What system has changed since the start of the season ?
laudrup is the manager... laudrup picks the side... laudrup says how we play... it dont take much of a change to stop a winning formula and laudrup has done that for all to see and that is why we are nearly men who cant play to the same effect as we use to. dyer leon michu practically all of them are trying to play a system however small the changes are that they are struggling with....whose to blame..??? the manager of course...
Wasn't it Laudrup's task at the start of the season to secure survival in the premier league? With that guaranteed a while back can you not blame him for the tinkering to find more winning formulas in order to make the mighty Swans a more formidable force during next seasons campaign!!
