there were a few doubters when he arrived , the nepotism and dressing room balance worries were genuine concerns , but Haters ? i think they mostly reside up the m62 :/ I was one of those concerned about dressing room harmonies when he arrived , but our position proves the rest of the squad took to him and all that palarva
This was a good post until you threw that bollocks in. Agree completely about Bruce, but this obsession with our formation being 'found out' is incredibly boring.
The 3-5-2 formation may have it's problems due to the midfield missing someone like Meyler in there. You need a defensive midfielder in there, you can't rely on the playmakers like Koren and Quinn to constantly win the ball back and get everything right going forward. We played the wrong team for the formation against Watford. Bruce tinkered with a side that worked out against Huddersfield, but we didn't get the benefits from it last Tuesday. It also helps if we had an inform striker on the pitch. Plus, injuries are stifling us. I think we'll play either 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 away from home now, and if we nick a goal we'll try set up shop. 3-5-2 should be enough against Bristol next Friday.
I think Alex can come out of this season with his head held high, he's had a very good, solid season. Never let anyone down and always gave it his all.
Of which the ref missed as did the linesman. I saw it from E6, an elbow in the face. Alex Bruce has made a lot of people look and sound stupid for the way they questioned and ridiculed his signing. So much for the keyboard football managers. Well done Alex Bruce.
thank you alex bruce for all your efforts this season. You have done more much more than any of us had a right to expect. You have done your best wherever you have played and been a credit to the shirt. Dont worry about the few bad comments as even the likes of ian ashbee had to take them at times. Every club has so called fans like that. Get well soon and see you back in action next season in the premier league - hopefully.
Yes, but not against any of the top 7 clubs. Would a good squad player and yes he can handle the bottom half clubs imo. Many said the likes of Dawson, Ashbee, Turner to name but 3 would struggle in the PL. Give AB a chance.
He's done a good job for us this season, at least as a centre back, but I wouldn't let him anywhere near a Premier League team.
