Howdy peeps, Home games against Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley and Brighton, and away games to Birmingham and a last game of the season against Watford is all that separates us to an unwelcome visit to league 1. Even Charlton, who have a terrible home record beat us comfortably at the weekend. The scoreline flattered us. Do we need a complete cull? Do we throw the youngsters in now? Can Redders get us out the mire? Realistically, with all those teams behind us, what are the chances we could go down, if we don't win any more games? Who can see us picking up points from the 5 remaining games? Rumours have it, Warnock is on his way to Home Park to be Plymouths directopr of football, thoughts?
Morning Elland Dont think well pick up a whole lot more points. Probably depending on some team behind us losing all their games to keep us up. Cant see Redders being up to much. He doesnt want the job and was terrible in the aftermath of Grayson leaving. The cull is a must as clearly most of our 25 man or whatever squad are not good enough and dont want to be there. However, who do you think will pay for this cull and the purchase of a new team? Perhaps the same owners that will pay 2.5 m compensation to get Poyet. I think we still have a few fans in dire need of a reality check. At this time, we are a bargain basement club, unable to compete for the signatures of even average players. Many of us have pointed this out for a while and been slaughtered at times for it. Dare I say it, but even if we stay up this season, without massive investment, next season will be a lot worse and relegation will be a certainty
Alright thombob, long time no see!!! I think Redders was trying to give us a bit of width, interesting that Hall again did not play. Is he that bad??
Morning Eire, I wonder whether the squad is behind us, I somehow doubt it. Maybe it goes deeper than the dresssing rooome
If were honest, we tried to buy most of the relegated Portsmouth squad because thats the market we now shop in. If they were crap at Portsmouth, why should they be any better with us. I dont buy into the Warnock nonsense either that we're only three players short. Thats a cover up for our inability to attract players, simple as. I wonder do the gfh clowns realise how much their investment will be worth if we're relegated, probably not
Morning everyone, I don't feel 3 players would ensure a promotion push, but we could steal a playoff spot with 3 extremely good players and a very good manager. However, looking at the team, it is a mess. In a perfect world 5/6 decent players is what we need.
Morning all, Back to work today after cruising the med. Harsh. Not please about our current position, but absolutely delighted that I'm not a chicken-murderers fan. Not looking too good for them. I've got nothing against them, tbh, but want the owners to pay for their arrogance & stupid decisions. Can't believe that we're using Redders again. Proved to me the last time that he hasn't got what it takes, and he most certainly doesn't want to be doing it. Another crazy decision from GFH.
Redders pretending Dawson had a knock so couldn't play proves how clueless he is and bottless. Him on Saturday was no different to if we had kept Warnock. Warnock used to pretend Drury was injured and Drury denied he had missed the games through injury. Well Chris also denied that he was injured. Do the managers of lufc think we are so stupid? (Mighty Tc Millwall ****ers don't reply to this)
Morning all. What was most disappointing about Saturday's result (apart from losing to a last minutes gola AGAIN) was that we're still playing hoofball. I would have thought that Warnock going would have at least liberated the players to try and play something approaching football.
Morning All Not happy to loose by a last minuet goal. I think if Redders learned from a decent manager in an assistant manager role he'd be cracking but it hasn't happened yet. A cull would be interesting to see there a few there are a couple who are coming to the end of their contracts from what I can remember and hopefully we can get rid of the dross on the transfer list. My only thought is a second clear out in two summers how's it going to affect the club?
This cheered me up no end haha they actually think Becchio ould play in the support role o my god the guy can't control it within 5 feet of himself never mind run with the ****ing ball at his feet
Afternoon all. Not a great day at the Office on Saturday, but at least our crowd livened things up somewhat. I can see why White started (width, pace, etc). But given the opportunity to go past players using his undoubted pace, he didn't take it. Really not sure why Hall isn't getting much of a look in these days. If he isn't going to play offload him asap. Same for Habibou. Glad to see Brown broke his own record for a booking - under 10 seconds. Oh well. As to next season, there will need to be a bit of a cull & some quality brought in. I'm in the 3 or 4 players needed corner. But I'm open to discussions. Heyho, let's hope we beat the Wendies on Saturday, just to shut up a few on here and elsewhere that seriously believe we'll be in L1 next season.
Just spotted this in the Gulf Times here in Qatar, looks like this little piece of **** is topping up his pension with a local club here, Cisse (ex Sunderland) plays for them and i think Raul. Kewell on loan at Gharafa Australian national team captain Harry Kewell (pictured) has joined Al Gharafa on loan until the end of current season, the club revealed yesterday. Kewell will replace his compatriot Mark Bresciano who has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with knee ligaments injury and Al Gharafa are already counting on the large experience the ex-Liverpool, Leeds United and Galatasaray can bring to the club. “Kewell will be a great addition to the club thanks to his experience and outstanding abilities. We wish him success and quick harmony with the players,” the club’s football director Saoud Fatah said.
