Me too Beth. Not a great view of the goal from PU so need to see that, torture myself with Remy hitting the woodwork and then marvel at the incompetence of a team who just blew whatever small chance they had of PL survival.
Remys goal, is approaching goal of the season. But didn't realise that Taarbs in the wall had spent so much energy getting out of the way of the ball,.... most effort he used all match
Hated the way they cooed over Remy's goal. Just because any slight .001 % chance in my head of us keeping him next season have been dashed
What! He set us alight when he came on, before that apart from Remy's shot that hit the post we did nothing.
MBia clumsy and naive. No foul for me...Maloney engineered the coming together, he stopped to allow MBia to run into him....not a foul(technically!!) in my book....but maybe Dowd gave the freekick for naivity
Not so sure Beth. Spilt milk now. The 'interesting' thing is that there have been many such moments over the season which all adds up to relegation form. If it was the odd penalty miss or injudicious free kick, that is one thing. It seems that every time over thisyear that we worked our sox off to gain an edge, we then pressed the self destruct. Not always - Chelsea etc.
100% correct beth he knew exactly what he was doing ... no blame for Mbia for me .. He brought the kick ... in fact they brought all the kicks in Injury time ... If there is a god of football then Wigan have to go... Reading Wigan and Norwich are dreadful footballing teams at the moment
I guess Samba was in his position to cover a possible cross, but he should have been on the end of the wall in place of Taarabt, or by the LHS goal post.
i still dont know how he did it, it was a side foot with reverse spin, one of the weirdest shots Ive ever seen.
I am still working it out as I would have taken a touch but as said everyone seems to know that he can shoot from anywhere at anytime ... watch him next week as we squeak a win One thing is for sure we asa team keep going now as it should be
Morning Col. It'll either have knocked the stuffing out of them (as it did Harry - and I commend Harry for wearing his heart on his sleeve) and sealed our relegation or make them even more determined to try and get this thing done. I suspect the former will slowly turn into the latter but I'm not sure it's ever been salvaged before from our position. Pompey were 8 points adrift at the end of February so rather more games left then we have now.
Strangely, it may well take the pressure off & make it an easier game for you. Saying that, even with three points at Everton it still looks a tough ask to survive, but, it drags it on to the next game......where inevitably the pressure would be back......and.....well you know the rest!
